The Terramow is behaving strangely today

UPDATE! TerraMow has contacted me, after uploading logs they have determined my robot has a calibration issue with the camera system. I was told they've discovered it only affects about 5% of the early beta models. The cameras can be recalibrated by pointing the robot at a specific test pattern. I will of course keep y'all updated and make a video about calibrating the TerraMow.

It was a sunny afternoon when Crazypostman decided that his lawnmower robot, Terramow, could use an update. "Modern technology," he thought to himself, "should simplify everything." What a mistake! No sooner had the update installed than Terramow embarked on his new quest. Instead of mowing the lawn efficiently and in straight lines like he used to, he took a more philosophical approach to lawn care. He started mowing in spirals. Not for efficiency, but because, as Crazypostman suspected, Terramow was searching for the meaning of life-or at least, how to get a particularly tidy lawn. Neighbors peeked over the fence, curious, as Terramow suddenly switched to a zigzag pattern. "Maybe a new style from the school of modern lawn art?" speculated Mrs. Huber, the art teacher next door. Crazypostman, now desperate, tried to reset the robot. But Terramow, entranced by his new existence, ignored all commands and just kept going, as if challenging the worms beneath the lawn to a game of hide and seek. By the end of the day, as the sun set, Crazypostman realized that although Terramow had been working for hours, his lawn looked like someone had tried to create a huge, impenetrable maze. "Perhaps," Crazypostman mused to himself, "he was just trying to find the perfect lawn, somewhere in between the lines and loops." He chuckled, realizing that Terramow had not only messed up the lawn but also him. And so, Crazypostman decided that the next update might be better enjoyed with a glass of wine and a good book-just in case Terramow decided to seek the wisdom of the lawn once again.

Hmmm Software Update or Demonic Possession, I am sure tech support won't blame the Update. I have been guilty of installing the latest bleeding edge drivers and firmware and that practice nearly bricked my Yuka once. Thanks for the video.

Mine has been mowing 6-8ft, spinning to locate, mowing another 6-8ft, spinning. It’s been getting 500-600ft of mowing per 2 hour mowing session. Sent my logs in and everything and terra support said it was because my yard is too open… on 3.9.93. It takes about 4 days to mow my average 10,000 square ft lawn. Cut quality is great, but definitely needs to fine tuning.

A few updates ago, mine was mowing 2,000 to 2,200 square feet per battery charge. it just does lots of spinning now

@@Crazypostman I wish! Have never gotten close to 1,000 per charge. (Received beginning October) Hopefully some changes come soon.

My guess is that the grass isn't green enough so it doesn't know what and where to cut

My Luba 2 did crazy things yesterday. Things it never did before. I rebooted everything and eventually got it to behave.

I had the same issue with my Yuka a few days ago. I think it was because it has been getting more cloudy lately, and it's getting dark earlier. That's why.

Mine also does the 360 degree turns now and then on long runs. It looks like the shade of the tree is at times confusing your Terra. Think I will hold off the new firmware update for now. Weird how yours did not show the diagonal trips on the App map. I am sure the Terra team will react quite quickly to this - with uploaded logs etc.
