A running theme with many of these weapon reviews seems to be that there isn't a lot of room to use them from the progression after Plantera. It is such a shame and if there's anything Terarria needs, it is a retooling of the lunatic cultist and moon lord to be right at the very end, with some other bosses between them and Golem.

@@szymi1311 Yup. I mean, between Lunatic Cultist and Moon Lord the only new gear you can get is obtained the same way you get to the Moon Lord. (and it's literally an event so it can be considered part of the "boss rush")

This is supposedly a very deliberate thing, they want it to feel really optional iirc, but I don't like it either... The whole progression of the game just feels off to me after Plantera. I much prefer Queen Bee, she feels like a proper optional boss to me, same with Queen Slime, I'd prefer that kinda side-path implementation instead of everything in an entire phase being pointless besides just rushing these three bosses. Especially since it's SUCH a cool phase, the Pumpkin Moon etc. are such a fun addition to the variety of the game. It doesn't help the Cultist is easy, I'll take Queen Slime's loot when I'm weak early-hardmode, I'll take Queen Bee's gear for WoF if it fits my gameplan, but Pumpkin moon etc. feel so excessive.

You mention using traps from the temple quite often, but I'm pretty sure you need a Picksaw to mine them now.

By the way, you can further invalidate old one’s army by setting up hoik barricades in front of either portal. It basically spawn-locks every non-flying enemy.

My fav class is ranged and that weapon right there is my second fav one and also the one i used against the pillars and golem, it's a really solid weapon (also i think the post plantera moon events weapons should get more recognition)

I believe that in between Golem and the Cultists, there should be another boss. Maybe even a dungeon-themed one. Right now, all of the Hardmode progression has a simple and plausible reason EXCEPT Golem -> Cultists. For example, after the Mechs are destroyed, the jungle detects this power vacuum and creates Plantera to either defend itself or gain control. Plantera drops the temple key, unlocking the temple. The destructed of the golem for some reason triggers the Cultists to begin their ritual, which you try to stop, only to be too late and the Pillars invade. Destruction of the Pillars causes the Moon Lord to invade before he is at full strength, enabling you to defeat him. Adding a boss before the Cultists that is dungeon-themed would help give a reason on why the cultists couldn't've just started the ritual earlier. Because this new dungeon threat could've made it harder to perform the ritual safely. A boss here could also solve the issue of most of the post-Plantera items being obsolete bc of how easy it is to just kill Golem, grab a broken hero sword from the eclipse, and make a Terra Blade. You could even tie it to Golem's destruction, as maybe Golem drops a key to a boss room or an ingredient to craft the summon item. If you can give me a good reason as to why the Cultists only start doing the ritual after Golem is destroyed, be my guest. Despite what the rest of this post may imply, I'm not a huge Terraria dork so I'm not super well versed in the lore.

I guess the golem is some sort of sun related ritualistic idol, and the Lunatic Cultists do a ritual related to the moon. Maybe the Cultists needed the Golem to be gone for some reason?

You should do a video about the venom staff! I feel like it’s such an underrated weapon, I’ve always seen it as the single best magic weapon to use on plantera, but I’ve never seen anyone else use it on plantera

I used it on Plantera with teleporters on both sides of the arena. I just teleported back and forth as the staff whittled her down, super effective

Just build one long flat platform and add traps right under preferably spike balls cause they linger and it will be like a Death Pit build it where its tall enough where the enemies cant reach you and it should deal with most smaller mobs and let you progress through the event much quicker for farming just add water candles so it makes more enemies spawn in frequently You could also add heart lamps and honey to boost your healing

Even if out classed by say xeno popper id argue this is the best crowd control weapon in the game as it's fast fire rate with it's bouncing projectiles that only it can use makes the task of not using up your good ammo on regular mobs if u hate managing that stuff normally like i do.

Honestly it’s extremely nice but I myself prefer the stake launcher because it’s not affected by gravity and piercers more enemies (and I believe it has a higher single target dps but I’m not sure on this point)

Hey Socrates, I got an idea for a video. You show all the places to get the items but never show the setup of the farm itself. Make an area that is filled with nothing where enemies can spawn, and just offscreen below you, make a Platform that is the only place that can spawn. It makes a really fast, and simple farm to make. Let me know with the questions that arise with my terrible explanation.

Only problem with this weapon is it’s only good in normal difficulty, as in expert and master mode, the pumpkin is way harder to progress through, and the pumpkins itself is very dangerous
