Normally I'm starstruck by celebs by I remember working the floor when she did a thing hocking ziplock storage containers. We were setting up the tables and she came in three hours before her 'set' with a bottle of wine in her hand and two friends stumbling around yelling at everything. Come showtime she was obvioisly hammered but damn can she hide her true self when a camera is on. I also learned an important lesson that night..watching her do a live version of 30 minute meals is bullshit, she had 15-20 sous chefs and prep cooks getting all that ready..and they looked petrified btw. She's a phoney.

and a person who can't cook. It's like a this girl trying to tell me that panda express is authentic. Sadly, I would say Rachael is an entertaining person, but after being in this industry you would expect her to learn how to cook properly. There should be some passion in cooking, but I personally don't see it. Last time I watch rachael ray she used extra virgin olive oil for cooking, and the problem is that it has a low cooking point. You don't use an oil that has been pressed only once. FYI extra virgin olive oil is usually used for salads, soups, and everything that doesn't revolve cooking due to the cooking point. Normal olive oil is used for such things, and telling people to use extra virgin olive oil in her recipes is a waste of money.

So she's not a chef. She never claimed to be. Years ago she told us all that she didn't bake. And considering what the Food Network is putting forth now, she's a star. Funny how all of these "trained" chefs are put off by a woman who put forth some food that the average person could put on the table every night. The judge's on the Iron Chef special were the ones who decided her meal with Mario Batali was the better of the two.

I like that she explains and gives easy directions BUT I can’t stand how she talks over her guests and cuts them off. She even does it to John when he’s making drinks. For this reason I can’t watch too many days in a row. Her constant talk drives me crazy. I would really like her guests to be able to finish a sentence more than once.

She found a concept that worked, and the public ate it up ( no pun intended). Then she got the Oprah stamp of approval at a time when Oprah was gold. She’s not a chef (never claimed to be) but the chefs on those channels seem to have sticks up their asses because of RR’s social popularity. For people who can’t cook, she’s okay, I guess. To me, she’s no different than Sunny Anderson, Sandra Lee, or any other of the entertainers who now have cooking shows.

I like DIY and remodeling stuff, but impossible to watch because she doesn't shut the hell up! And, for those RR lovers, no I haven't watched her show for more 10 mins all together since it started. If the worst thing chefs can say about Rachael Ray is they think they know what her show should be about better than she does, she's going to be just fine. Yes, Julia Child "inspired" people to cook better, and how many people cook that kind of dinner for the family on a weeknight? There's plenty of room for someone who cooks like we do and gives us useful recipes we are actually likely to make for our families at any time.

All the other chefs might be salty because they spend so much time elaborating on meals, etc and ray made an empire by faking it. I watched her shows as a kid mostly to learn fast cooking recipes and let’s face it Americans love a handout, that’s the reason so many fast food places are popular. Ray could teach you how to fry chicken without flavor but it would be done in under 30 minutes...

Once we graduated from Culinary school. We got a diploma of cooking , baking ..or making all Sweets ...etc. But Others never got any licenses of cooking did very awesome cooking too. All depend who will eat your meals that you made...Backgrounds( ... what your parents fed you ...where we came from..countries or class .. of societies..!, Etc.. And the taste plays BIG ROLE, some traditional or culture families eat Sweeter or others more salty or more acidity. Some never eat most seafood ( like Royals in England) and Some never eat Meat ( Vegetarians). Also allergic people refused certain delicious meals....or ....And even How many people could buy what they wanted to EAT or had to buy what are suiting to their income... Some said: We eat to live . Others said We live to eat. 🤔🤫🤭🤗 Many factors more need to be considered.... Different strokes for different Folks. The BEST food for You is the WORST for me. I enjoyed all of your shows in different ways . Some I like some I dislike too. The WORST for you is the BEST for me. BON Appétit !!!
