The design makes sense to me. A toaster is convenient because you don't have to watch it but, if the toast is left in-situ for too long, it overly dries from the residual heat. Just push it back & put a plate in front. Perfect toast! I want one of these.

After ten years of hardcore research i have come up with a solution. Instructions: 1. Push the toaster back. 2. Place a deep(ish) big enough plate at the place where the toaster is gonna puke his shit. 3. Insert some shit into the toaster. 4. After a minute it is going to puke all that shit into your plate. Our toaster broke last week, so this week I quickly picked up a toaster before I got the kids from school. When the kids climbed in the car, they looked at the front seat and exclaimed "That's THE TERRIBLE TOASTER". I smiled.... thought, how bad could it be.... and sure enough... on the floor the toast went (one side black, the other a light mottled tan). I thought for sure they were just goofing around.
