The search for Cody would lead officers closer to home that anyone could have imagined...

I think she just wanted a wedding, but forget about everything else that comes with getting married. Like being a wife, having sex with your husband, maybe babies etc. Then reality hit and she thought, i dont want this, but her pride and thought of ending it was too shameful. Didnt want the shame of being divorced (religion may have not allowed it), and thought she could get away with murder instead.

As a woman, we're often sold short. I can understand how Jordan felt if this sad excuse of a man didn't turn out to be what he appeared to be. Note how he was abusive after they got married. @@edward9643 Well said, your comments make sense to me. Except I would have to add more to the last statement…. Yeah, certainly her religion could’ve badly influenced her viewpoint on sex. However, for me, there’s even more to decipher in regards to her high attendance @ church. Personally, I just cannot accept that her religion meant anything to her - beyond repetition. For me, it simply feels too far-fetched, too difficult, & even too unbelievable, to think a frequent church goer with deeply felt religious/Christian beliefs… would actually kill, as she did, without any solid reasoning or an ounce of mercy. To me, her church going just doesn’t fit with any whys, or the way, she killed Cody. It’s all very sad, & makes no sense whatsoever. That is what happens to sheltered children deprived of social contact and formal education during their formative years. Particularly children that grow up in ultra religious communities. They often appear cold or childlike to the rest of the world. They often also exhibit black and white thinking characteristic to their communities. I bet she was taught sex is sinful and she would burn in hell.

I'm so glad I've never been that person. A common insult thrown at women is that we "don't have a man" or that we'll pass away alone. But true crime has shown me that it is such a risk even letting someone into your life for a second. I wouldn't be surprised if she was insulted when he offered to end things. Such a p.o.s. I hope every day of that sentence is spent thinking about how her reputation is ruined. She likely blames him for it, though.

But murdering someone won’t??!!🙄 That’s beyond ridiculous! Reminds me of the Sabrina Limon case. She thought it would be a sin, and ruin her good name to divorce her husband. But it was ok to conspire with and talk the man she was having an affair with into murdering her husband. She obviously couldn’t careless about her two young children. I know of this awful case and I'm certain she lured him to the ledge with the promise of consummating the marriage. She'd even brought something to blindfold him with (something his friends and family were certain he'd never be so reckless to wear at such dangerous circumstances). In the wedding video she is so cold toward him, acting like she's been 'forced' into marrying a stranger, rather than a man she knew for a lengthy time. Observing their first dance they reminded me of a pair of teenagers at a school disco. She was totally rigid and he was not sensing this is not normal behaviour of a new bride. Jordan had dreaded having intimate relations with Cody and he was so patiently abiding her 'no sex before marriage' rule. Of course the excuse not to be intimate was now null and void. So the false excuse of 'periods' began. Strangely enough the time they went to the National Park would've coincided with her "period" ending (and I'm sure Cody was counting the days down from their wedding night) so what 'surprise ' could get him to climb over a safety wall, edge along a precipice then allow Jordan to blindfold him?? SEX......She promised him SEX at the place he really wanted to visit. Pity he didn't throw her over, he sounded to be a lovely man, the sort hard to find and impossible to 'replace'. RIP Cody ❤

@@jessicalightwarrior7276 As Jordan came from an "over religious" family, she'd probably had it drummed into her that sex was a dirty thing that you only did (in missionary position) in order to get pregnant. Any other times an over amorous partner crept up on you, then it was your responsibility to reject any such advances firmly and resort to separate beds and/or rooms! Growing up with that sort of programming of 'sex is a sin' can easily sway one's mind into believing that murder is far less sinful, and of course solves the whole religious stigma surrounding divorce! Jordan certainly doesn't stand alone on this matter. There's many many cases of highly religious couples that murder their spouse so they save face around their church community, and then they can marry the person they've been screwing around with, committing adultery! (I found there are a lot of Mormons involved in such cases - again highly religious. No disrespect to any Mormons, but there are a large percentage of spouses serving time for killing their partner and doing a 'switch ' for a newer model!) Gotta hand it to Jordan though, statistics show that spousal murder is commonly committed by the husband. Jordan has upped the score (so to speak) on that one. (Because she's a heartless damaged POS )

@@the.meandering👍 no she was a virgin who dreaded the idea of losing it. The "oh I've started my period" was her excuse for the wedding night and I suppose for the next 5 days. By the time she lured him onto the cliff was about right for coinciding with her (imaginary) period ending, so Cody would've been trying to persuade her to 'get on with it!' I suppose. All the time he dated her they were totally celibate due to her "no sex before marriage" rule - which Cody accepted but to hear her "period started" story as soon as they get into the privacy of the hotel room, I would imagine that bursting his bubble! All day at the wedding she had a face like a slapped A$$, crying and blubbering everywhere. Then she stands as far away from him as she possibly can (which he must have wondered wtf is going on with her?) She gives him the cold shoulder treatment from the time he first set eyes on her until days later when suddenly, whilst he's in the company of both his friends, Jordan sends him a text which picks his ears up, makes him grin again and gives him a bit of his swagger back! He's intrigued and kinda seduced about "the surprise " . He gets the impression Jordan is ready to consummate their marriage and he heads home‼️ His best mates are hoping he doesn't get let down again, they found the text suspicious due to the complete turnaround of opinion by Jordan‼️. They never saw Cody again❤

She will be, I believe, 53 when she gets out and will probably have at least another 20 good years to live her life. I hope karma catches up with her. Also, I have no idea what the point was to try to end up changing her plea from not guilty... wouldn't she have to face an actual trial then for the first-degree murder again, as the prosecution would have put that back on the table since she wanted to renege from her plea deal?!
