I remember being on a certain forum about 10 years back or so, someone who was obviously mentally unwell was posting timestamped update pics of their shoulders and stomach after they had regularly ingested nuclear pellets and other material they bought online a month prior, to try to "attune" to god and gain powers. His skin was covered in sores and some holes going down to the fat and bone, it was terrifying and he ignored all pleas to get medical help and just kept posting obviously schizophrenic paragraphs in return. Guy posted for weeks with updates until going silent while still ignoring and becoming hostile to any offer of help.

as much as i hate pepole using "uranium" to explain every anomalous phenomenon (please dont do it, its way too cliche) i find myself enjoying this one. Naturally occurring uranium is used in neither nuclear weapons nor light water reactors. I don't mean because ore but that yes that also but even then, the most naturally abundant isotopes are not that radioactive at all. Even enriched uranium is predominantly atoms of the stable isotope by a pretty big margin. Depleted uranium is unbelievably benign it is trivial. If you live in area with radon exhaust pump in the basements of the houses it is about that risk level. It is a bigger threat that you throw your back out picking it up but without lifting with the legs not realizing how incredibly dense it is. You are getting more dosed up by a figgin banana it is less genetic damage than a really bad sunburn. If someone is cranking the siren about depleted uranium feel free to mentally file them in the brain folder "total hypochondriacs" or alternatively "alarmist morons"
