The Teskey Brothers are a rare musical gem. Honouring that old school Motown sound and working it into something of their very own, the band have received widespread acclaim for their albums Half Mile Harvest and Run Home Slow. A raw combination of soul and blues, the band’s sound has warmed the hearts of listeners everywhere with it’s melancholic, analogue tones.
Onstage singer Josh Teskey’s smoked whiskey voice defies expectation as the band around him hold an irresistible groove. Their undeniable live shows wowed audiences around the world, leaving them infected with soul and blues.

I had given up on my younger son after trying numerous times to help him with alcoholism. He just didn’t try hard enough or didn’t want to be helped so I told him it was his life and he chose to live it so He’s on his own. We had no communication for 4 yrs because I had let him live his life. I heard his wife took the children and left the state. He lost his job and his house as well. He was homeless throughout Covid and having lots of medical issues. He turned to his older brother for help because he knew I gave up on him. Sometimes to be cruel is to be kind. He is now getting the help he needs physically/medically/mentally/spiritually/socially and no longer homeless 🙏🫶🏽recently, He sent me the link to this song n performance. WHEN YOU’RE HAPPY YOU LOVE THE BEAT. WHEN YOU’RE SAD YOU FEEL THE WORDS..🙏❤️🥰👍

I had the exact same scenario with my younger brother. I cut him off because of his alcoholism and didn’t speak to him for a couple of years. He died in February 2024, he was found dead at his home by our mum. I would do absolutely anything in the world to see him again and just tell him I loved him and that it’ll be alright.

I had one of their songs suggested through youtube music and loved it. My small mind first thought it could have been a group from the 70s with darker hued men. I know i know, but that was just from HEARING the song. I was shocked to see they were a modern band from Australia. So very talented giving off the right kind of soul that has touched my heart.

@Doug Walker you are 100% right. You can't teach this. All of the great singers have that dark corner inside where this feeling and emotion lives. When everything is just right it comes out and helps us to feel, express that pain, heartbreak that we try to keep inside.

You are literally my new favourite band... I work for a Radio Station in Port Lincoln SA, and the branding only allow music from 80's, 90's and today... I always am killing to play some of this old America soul/ blues ... but all those incredible hits came out prior to the 80's so I can never play them... When I heard this song in our system, and googled your name, I nearly died finding out this was released in 2017! Thank you for being you! I can assure you will be getting lots of airtime ☺ ♥

[Verse 1] I've been in love, honey, you know it’s true Was since that day I first laid my eyes on you Love is a crazy game, baby It's how I feel It make you oh, so high But it takes so long to heal [Chorus] So please yeah yeah Won't you stay with me? ’Cause since you gone, it's all Pain and misery Honey, please yeah yeah Won't you stay with me? 'Cause since you gone It's pain and misery [Verse 2] Sometimes I curse that day of when you came along I was happy But it's been pain now for so very long Oh, I'm begging you, honey Please, won't you stay? ’Cause I been so lonely Since you gone away [Bridge] Everyday is pain In the end, it’s hard to see Every fateful day is oh, so sad Now that I've lost the best friend that I ever had [Chorus] Honey, please Won’t you stay with me? 'Cause since you gone it's all Pain and misery Honey, please, whoa please Won't you stay with me? ’Cause since you gone It's pain and misery [Outro] Hey I'm begging you, honey Whoa I want you to love me Yeah, I want you to love me I need you so bad

Hi Teskey Brothers. I have been listening to your music some time now and it's so good!! Here in The Netherlands we have a radiostation called 3FM. I submitted this track to them. Angelique who is one of the DJ's, picks a unknown song submitted by listeners daily. Last week she played your song Pain and Misery and their mailbox exploded. She said that she never had so many reactions. The cool thing is that she also loves your music and yesterday played your new song. I hope you're gonna get more airplay here in The Netherlands!
