The falcon-wing doors aren’t the issue. It’s the front doors. They will open cautiously but when you tell it to close, that’s a whole different story. It detects objects only when it closes on them. And it closes quite violently until it soft closes about 1 cm from the frame.

At my last job I had to program a lift to detect that it is hitting the ground and stop. It was a similar method where it still can't avoid hitting the ground but will stop immediately and back off. There was no ground sensors other than a difference in speed and torque. I doubt the tesla would break your hand since the motor is just helping it fall with gravity slowly.

I was 13 and was in the back of a model X and I was getting out and right when I was getting out I banged my head against the top of the door as it was shutting, I fell to the ground and probably suffered a concussion. Well it's now the question, if it took so long to detect there is something or if the egg created the counterpressure for the door to react. Since eggs are the most resistive in their unbroken state it means the door simply reacted to slow. This also means it will travel for so long until it stops independently of egg or a finger there to crush

Would've been nice to see a _practical_ demonstration instead. Egg shells may be fragile, but you'd be surprised how strong a whole egg can be. If you don't believe me, grab an egg and squeeze it as hard as you can, then grab your arm and squeeze _that_ as hard as you can. Crushing the egg takes a _lot_ of force, and even if you can't crush the egg it'll still hurt to squeeze your arm with the same amount of force and you might even end up breaking the bones in your arm.
