I don’t know bad it is, but the government of Texas is convinced there is a crisis caused by Biden and that only them can act on it. The federal government says that Texas is unlawful, three migrants died and both sides are pointing at each other for the deaths. Basically, it’s an issue of who has the right to control the border: the state or the country? I don’t know much about politics in Texas, but their strong stance on drugs and illegal immigrants is quite right wing. In most cases, the best way to take care of drug problems isn’t to attack the supply but the consumers. You take care of those in need and they’ll stop taking drugs. This is the tactic widely used to tackle drugs and what I would suggest Texas to do. Use their funds to reduce the demand of hard drugs by helping those in need and the cartels will have to leave due to a lack of demand. Again, I’ve never been to Texas and don’t know much about its politics but it does seem to lack a strong welfare and programs for drug users, which need help. Hope it kind of helps understanding the situation (and my stance on it).

Basically, Texas sent its own national guard to the Mexico border to stop illegal immirgation. They erected barbed wire fence, and the federal army has been denied access to the border. The feds tried cutting the barbed wire fence, but TX national guard physically stopped them. Supreme court ruled Texas has to allow the feds access, but TX has largely ignored the ruling, so it's kind of a "stand off" of sorts between TX National guard and Biden's federal army. Biden wants to flood the U.S with cheap labor that will eventually vote for his party if they ever get voting rights (their children will definitely be able to vote). But it's not just economic migrants coming in. Traffickers, terrorists, and other sketchy people are coming in by the thousands. Texas started setting up razor wire at certain places to force everyone to come through the official ports of entry where they can be properly screened and apply for asylum. This made Biden and his administration throw a hissy fit, so they took it to the Supreme Court who for some reason sided with Biden despite the Constitution explicitly saying states have a right to defend their borders. Texas and a bunch of other states basically gave the finger to Biden and the Supreme Court and are continuing to defend the border anyway.

Are you French (just guessing cause your name lol). This is still an ongoing event and it is a feud between the state (Texas) and the US federal government. Texas and the Feds have been arguing over who has control over certain parts of the border. Texas has been stopping Federal border patrol agents from entering certain areas and conducting their duties, and it was ruled that Texas authorities had to end their blockade (allow Federal border patrol agents in) by January 17th, which they refused; the US Supreme Court later voted to allow Federal border patrol agents to cut down razor wires set up by Texas, which resulted in Texas setting up more wires and blockades. Towards the end of the video you can see Texas' numbers rising which is a combination of citizens volunteering to help, police forces, Texas National Guard, and National Guard from the other states that support Texas. Warning this is a very short and simplified explanation for a very complex issue sorry if it is long Essentially Texas has started an operation called Operation Lone Star in which Texas uses the National Guard to secure the border setting up fencing and barbed wire along the border as well as taking over a city park in Eagles Pass to conduct its operation The Biden administration sued Texas arguing that the fencing and barbed wire block access to the border wall for federal border guards this case went to the Supreme Court which ruled in their favor stating that the federal government is allowed to cut the wire to access the border and that Texas must give access to the city park in Eagles Pass to do their duty In response Texas has refused to give access to the city park in Eagles Pass to federal border officials and has added even more barbed wire and fencing this is a direct violation of the Supreme Court ruling something that hasn't been done since the 1960s when Arkansas refused to desegregate their schools Recently Texas Governor Abbot released a statement claiming that Texas is currently being invaded by migrants and that the federal government has failed in its duty to protect the border he then invoked Article I 10 Clause 3 of the Texas Constitution which is a constitutional authority in the defense and protection of the state he claims that this authority makes the Texas constitution the supreme law of Texas which supersedes any federal law essentially no longer making the constitution the supreme law of Texas Currently, the Biden administration is considering taking control of the Texas National Guard as they stand in a stand-off between federal border guards at said city park in Eagles Pass near the border with more republican states publically supporting Texas with many sending their own national guards to help in Operation Lone-Star
