Small burger joints like this can be hard to find, are rarely talked about, or nonexistent. Especially, in smaller towns. It's like food trucks; not every place has them. I, personally, love discovering a good burger, or eating spot. I try new places, often...usually, a burger or tacos 😂

I live in Houston, and I usually go to Sparkles on Dowling and Leeland for huge homemade burgers. I made a mistake of ordering a double cheeseburger, and you can take a bite, too big. I've been to Bubba's once, and they do have good burgers. I used to love Whataburger, but their quality isn't what it used to be. If I do eat fast food burgers, I go to Checkers, which just started opening restaurants in Houston.

I remember when it was Bob's Buffalo Burgers. I ate there once a week; back then they didn't all the yuppie hipster stuff; lettuce, tomato, purple onion and that was it. Cheese if you wanted it but buffalo and cheese don't go together; it ain't beef. Back then they didn't have a soda machine or a fryer. Soft drinks and beer out of a bottle and jalapeno potato salad was the side. I went back a few years ago and it's not as good as it was when Bob owned it. But he was too old to run the place so he sold it in the late 80's.

Lettuce has basicly no flavor/taste. The purpose of putting lettuce on a hamburger is for some crunch and to protect the bun from getting soggy from the tomato. The lettuce should be placed between the tomato and the bun.

WHY do you always do the Burger joints ?? Why not do other Texas Foods, Tex-Mex Foods , and Cowboy favorites besides doing Burgers all the time ? Why is Burgers the only Food item in Your Texas Bucket List ?? Texans eat other foods besides Burgers all the time !!!
