Watching this magnificent burger come to life literally made my mouth water and my tummy gurgle - I can't wait to have one of these! And my eyes watered a bit, too, as my thoughts drifted a little farther south, into the deep piney woods and wild Sabine bottomlands around my East Texas home. I'll soon be back home in East Texas for good, after fifty-plus years away, and a stop at the East Texas Burger Company in Mineola, Texas for one of these incredible-looking burgers is the very first item on my brand new, Back Home in Texas Bucket List! Ya'll please keep your griddle fired up - I'll be there just as fast as I can get there!!! ;>D

Still waiting for a place that doesnt serve the greasiest burgers on the planet. If Texas doesn't have the highest number of heart attacks in the country, I would be shocked. Every one of these burgers are cooked on a griddle... how about something over a flame for crying out loud.

A flame is nice for many things. But for burgers, you often end up with a dried out hockey puck since it’s ground beef and the fat drains out faster than for a steak. As all chefs know, fat is flavor. So it’s important you do whatever is necessary to retain the flavor.
