I was at the Ventura fight! Have pictures that I took. That was Nolan's best last game. Arlington stadium went crazy! Lucky to have been there. Thanks Nolan!

I admit I teared up. I grew up in Houston in the 60’s and 70’s. NR a true legend. Glad to see he is healthy. Very cool you got a few pitches from him. 👍👍

He's like a male version of a Texan Betty white. Anyone in Texas who knows him loves him. That's damn sure a level of respect that can ONLY be EARNED! ESPECIALLY becoming a "pride of Texas" level legend really speaks volumes. If you don't have "Texas pride" then don't bother trying to understand

@@wabitt11 I may not be from Texas but Hamilton county is where my heart is, and 9/10 of my most prized possessions are items that Texans bought me that say I'm an honorary Texan. A lot of people ask me "why do you like rural Texas so much? It could not be more opposite of where you're from!" To which I say "exactly!"
@wabitt11 Жыл бұрын
@@PetettFarms I was born and raised in Texas, 4th generation. I live in rural East Texas in a town of 832 folks. Love it! We all learn as a child when traveling different parts of the U.S. or to foreign countries, when folks ask where you're from, you always get a reaction...almost always positive. So the feedback you get very early on is...Texas must be special. Who knew?!?!
@PetettFarms Жыл бұрын
@@wabitt11 in Hamilton county you can find my family gravestones going back so far you can't read them anymore. My dad left in the 60s but the last 5 years I've been the ONLY one going back there to take care of the farm. My uncle literally can't do it anymore, he will never leave the nursing home most likely, but he ran that farm by himself while paralyzed from polio from 1962 until now. I'm back home caring for my mother but still pop back every chance I get.

That was awesome! Getting to play catch with NR for even one toss is pretty cool. Have y'all seen the Antiques Roadshow clip of the guy getting his bat appraised? It was a game bat that belonged to Joe DiMaggio in the late '40s. It's a great clip. The man even got to meet Joe on a separate occasion and ask questions about it.

Nolan Ryan beef is too overpriced, imo It is about 2-3 more dollars than every other meet at my local grocery store. Give us laborers a chance Mr. Nolan. Drop the price down about a dollar and I will buy your meats, instead of Kroger meats.
@redsammy77892 жыл бұрын
One thing to think about, go ask the manager of that Kroger where that beef is coming from, he probably does not know, I asked my local HEB guy and he had to get back to me after calling corporate, turns out the meat is from other countries that they can buy cheaper, look at the seafood, it is the same, you have no idea what you are eating, The US imports about 94% of the seafood consumed here and of that the FDA inspects less than 1%., you are eating food with metals, pollutants and hormone crap and no telling what else in it.
