I am going to Houston ans open a Turkey leg Restaurant in front of this Guys Shop, and do my best to make a better Turkey legs with a outstanding service! :) They make approximately 40-50 Mio. Dollar annually. So in the first year, I make 5 Mio. Dollar, in second one 15 Mio. Dollar and in the third year I will make 20 Mio. Dollar. First stuff what I will do is, finding a spot near this guys shop, ordering all the legs what they have and finding out the way how do cook, prepare this products, will take me max. 3 weeks to develop this products, next step is finding a good Turkey Farmer. :) Ups, i forget to say that I am living in Germany, so in need to get a work permit. Houston we are ready to take of!

I’ve been it’s absolutely amazing best food I’ve ever tasted ….. when that guy said, you don’t need to add nothing to it any condiments you literally don’t it’s amazing…… and their service is good to. It’s about $35 for that big turkey leg with the pasta and dirty rice but it’s well worth it and you’ll be extremely full.

This was the first place I ate at when I moved to Texas. I was able to get in pass the long line because the person that took me there knew the owners personally. The alfredo stuffed leg is the best one...whew!!! So good! The owners are very confident in their food as they don't even have salt and pepper shakers on any of the tables😋 I would love to return but I'm just not willing to stand in that long line.

This is one of the finest eateries in Houston and in my opinion Texas. They have faced some adversity from some of the residents in the area who are complaining about the smell of smoke and the lines of people that show up religiously for a little taste of mouth watering heaven. What used to be an all black area is now being gentrified and it is the new residents who are coming in and are trying to change things but the people are behind this restaurant and they are getting plenty of support from the Houstonians that travel from near and far to enjoy them some Turkey Leg Hut cuisine.

Not certain as to what the impetus was to get Texans off their butts, perhaps a bit of "fat shaming" which I do not agree, whatever it is, it seems to be having an effect. Yep, still, a lot of + sizes out there, however, these seem to be largely in the Metro areas and the Eastern areas of the state, where there is a Burger King on every corner. The further you go west the fewer eateries (specifically Fast Food). Combine that with the physical and outdoor activity required to make a living, i.e. Ranching and Farming likely helps contribute to the trimmer waistlines.

I can't even explain how good these are. I just had my first one, plus I had one person give me some dirty rice and another the shrimp alfredo. By itself it's wonderful! The alfredo is really good, but I think the dirty rice is the winner!

I absolutely love the turkey leg hut!!! I live in San Antonio TX and every time I get I chance me and my family drive to Houston to get some turkey legs! This is the only place I’ll eat another turkey leg from, they never disappoint!!

I was at the TLH a couple of days ago and it was good to patronize a black owned business but my experience was terrible. Day 1 - I arrived at about 4pm and there was a sign that said they wouldn't be opened for Dinner until 5pm. So, because it was extremely HOT, 100 degrees, I did not want to wait outside until 5pm so I left and returned the next day. Day 2 - I ordered the Famous Turkey Leg $10.00 ( menu description said, special sauce), and a Side Order of Red Beans and Rice $5.00. I paid with a Visa Card, the cashier swiped my Visa but said the register couldn't accepted my card because it didn't have a chip on it. ( So be prepared to pay with cash or a CC with a chip on it.) I then gave the cashier my America Express Card. Because it's small inside of the restaurant, Once I placed my order the waitress ( she was not rude ) made us wait OUTSIDE in 103 degree humid hot weather for our order and offered us bottled water which we accepted. Outside there are fans, NOT CEILING FANS, just fans stationed in corners blowing out hot air. My order - The turkey leg is tender and it falls off of the bone HOWEVER, the turkey leg MEAT itself has NO FLAVOR, no seasoning and IT DID NOT HAVE A SMOKE FLAVOR, it tasted like it was soaking in water ( maybe that's what makes the meat tender). But, on top of the turkey leg there is an extremely HOT & SPICY sauce that was too hot for me and NOT WHAT I WANTED. The menu description of the turkey leg said, SPECIAL FLAVORING, no where did it state HOT AND SPICY. There is a difference between special flavoring and hot and spicy and I think they need to change the menu description so that it reflects the turkey leg is very hot. My Red Beans & Rice was very dry and did not have any juices from the red beans on the rice. It also had pieces of unflavored, unseasoned turkey meat in it. The Red Beans tasted like CANNED red beans and it too has NO FLAVOR. My order was disappointing and I was underwhelmed. I threw my entire order in the trash..... Waste of Money !

I would hope so...Most businesses want to know if they are falling short because it hurts their business if customers are unsatisfied.. If you haven't registered a complaint with them...Shame on you...and l say that to highlight your detailed description of your unsatisfactory order HERE and not the restaurant owner...
