CLIP DESCRIPTION:
After Stephen (Eddie Redmayne) has his surgey, Jane (Felicity Jones) teaches him how to communicate.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
James Marsh's biopic of the celebrated scientist Stephen Hawking, The Theory of Everything, stars Eddie Redmayne as the famous figure. Enrolled as a graduate student at Cambridge, Hawking establishes himself as one of the leading minds of his generation, and begins to win the heart of Jane (Felicity Jones). After one of his earliest breakthroughs, Hawking is diagnosed with ALS, and he becomes less and less able to control his own body. With the loyal Jane at his side, he continues his work. However, as the years progress, Jane starts to feel more like a nurse than a wife, and Hawking begins to have feelings for a woman who is hired to care for him. The Theory of Everything screened at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival.

She never had any romantic relationship with Edward. She had an affair with an organist at her church and then married a man named Jonathan. Stephen was the one to leave because he fell in love with his nurse. I hate when people are creating bullshit stories and talking shit about her. She spent 30 years of her life in depression. She never left Stephen because she loved him. Yes she had an affair but honestly I don't blame her. People are quick to judge but the reality is 90 percent of people wouldn't be able to stay with a person with such a disability even if they loved them. She deserves respect.

I think this is the moment he makes her clear that she has to move on. That sometimes giving up is the right thing. She does not accept that first. That's why she gets angry. But when he makes a real effort to show that he gives up she realises that it is ok if she does too. When he then says I love you it is like saying goodbye and thank you. They both think that this will be the last real conversation they will ever have.

Ok, two things: First, the letters, "B, H, N, and T" are in the yellow group, but BOTH times she said the colors, she SKIPPED yellow. How can he use the board, if SHE doesn't seem to know how to use it? Secondly, she paused between letters WAY too long. By doing that, he might blink BEFORE the color he wants, but bc he finally NEEDED to, and wind up giving her the wrong color. I may not be a quantum physicist, or whatever, but this system seems a tad flawed.
