This is the most roundabout way of recreating a lathe I’ve ever seen.

⚠️EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!!! ⚠️ There’s not enough stability or hand clearance to do that safely. Please be careful. That can easily snap or fly out of your hand if it rolls right. I suggest making the plastic parts bigger to at least give hand clearance and use a stop block to make forward cuts instead of feeding it into the blade. What you are doing is like trying to spin a car tire but the road is already moving side ways…. Very dangerous and you’re asking for a rough finish. Also… Do not spin the board in the middle of the cut!! And never use a vertical and horizontal guide together. Start the cut from the face and not the edge of the board. ⚠️Making wood round on a table saw is meticulous and very dangerous and if done improperly will lead to injury. Please be safe. Please be safe. Please be safe. 🥽⚠️

I was just typing out a not-as-well-worded response, but man was your message spot on about safety! When I first got into woodworking, I was using a table saw in a similar manner and nearly lost a finger! I was fortunate enough to only get a decent chunk of fingernail removed and a nice gash on the tip of the finger. But holy crap did I get a surprise lesson in safety that day, as well as a reality check.

@@RAK00N2 my affair with safety picked up after nearly losing 4 fingers about a year ago. I still have them but the damage is done. Don’t want anyone to go through what I am or anything close to that. Even when you’re doing things right an accident that takes mere seconds to unfold can change your life. Like not wearing gloves while both safeties on your hedge trimmer get stuck in the on position… (⚠️don’t wear gloves in a wood shop when using power tools, mainly ones that rotate because they can grab, pull and rip you apart. Same with cleaning rotating bodies with a cloth.⚠️) While I don’t do a lot of woodworking my woodshop teacher was screaming in the back of my head while I was watching this video and I just couldn’t refrain. The 99% rule states that %1 of the time an accident will happen. It’s mainly a heavy machine rule but I feel it should always be respected.

@@kurahito I truly enjoy your content and would hate if something bad happened 🙏 thank you for your time. Best wishes☺️
You definitely have some learning to do when it comes to 3D printing, you can print a sell an fill with resin for stronger parts or to can print a part then make a silicone mould of the part and cast a resin part from the silicone part. It sounds difficult but really it depends on how clever your printing design is.
i just want to mention this but what he is doing is dangerous to do table saws can catch (and commonly do) the wood and fling it sending it where ever it wills. now your adding 3d printed parts to the wood and making it less stable and harder to control if you want a dowel rod with out a lathe you can. and you can do it safer they even make dowel dies you can use. be safe out there and keep all you fingers they work better attached.
In English, the slanted sides if the head of the screw is called "countersinking". Would it be better to put the 3d printed holders/forms/jigs at the ends of the square wood, and then just try and make the middle round? Actually the easiest way to make square wood round would be a lathe. I have seen youyube videos of a guy using a 3d printer to make a wood lathe.
