I love cafes like this! the napolitan looks so good!!! Japan has the best cafes. Many people don't think about going to these cafes because they only focus on the traditional foods which is a shame.

Nice comfort food! :D When Satoshi mentioned that the cafe is a bit far from the station, I was expecting him to say 15-20 minutes away from the station. But 6-7 minutes? I'll head there for sure! It would be good to visit as a group of 4 so you can share several dishes :D

I've lived all over the world and without a doubt Japanese do food best. They reproduce dishes from other culinary traditions perfectly and often improve upon them. To get a bad meal in Japan you'd have to really search hard.

Living in California i have never seen a egg pasta dish and im a cook. Been in the industry for like 10 years or so. I am super intrigued. I wanna try and maybe make it a special. 🤪

Closest I can think of is veal or shrimp francese with linguini. The egg batter soaks the lemon garlic sauce and it's so good.

Thank you for taking us to La Madrague, guys! It's such a comfy, cozy coffee shop. And the food! The tamago sando and spaghetti Napolitan look delicious. The omelet bed on which the Napolitan is lying is a real surprise. Giving us links to the recipe videos is _awesome!_ I'll be pinning them to my international food board on Pinterest. Thank you, as always, for a fun and informative video, Shinichi and Satoshi. ♥♥

One of my favourite things in Japan is tamago sando from a convenience store. I think next time we go to Japan we'll have to go to Kyoto, again, just for one of these sandos. They look brilliant. For the first time in almost 3 years I can't complain about Japan not being open. Since the announcement we've been madly googling airfares to try and find a good deal. We can't wait to go and and eat more sandos and make more memories (and youtube content 😂). Thanks Satoshi and Shinichi! This was great!

Loved the cafe , has a warm homely feel to it . Egg sandwich and Neapolitan spaghetti looked delicious definitely have the Tabasco sauce on top 🥵. The cream soda drink looked tasty we have cream soda but it’s a carbonated vanilla flavoured soft drink. Our equivalent to your cream soda is lemonade or cola with ice cream on top and we call this a “Floater”. Thanks guys for the video 👍😀

I'm an English speaker and am very interested in the use of kombucha in the egg sandwich! I watched the Madrague video with auto-translate subtitles which weren't very good. Is there kombucha mixed in with the eggs when they are poured in the pan? I've also googled a ton of combinations of egg and kombucha and turned up with nothing.

Hey guys. I see this menu is all in Japanese. Do they have an English menu or do you suggest downloading an app that will convert it into English? If an app, any that you would say works the best for Japanese? If not, that is fine. We are planning our Japan trip in October of 2023 and super excited!

From my time living in Japan, I'd say a rule to remember is "You get what you get, don't throw a fit." Very difficult to get Japanese to alter any dish. For example I went to the MOS burger in my neighborhood for a whole year on Thursdays. I always ordered 2 burgers. I tried asking them in Japanese to please leave the sauce off. They looked at me as if I had 3 heads. After a year of them watching me wipe off the sauce with a napkin, one day they left the sauce off. At the tiny Italian neighborhood restaurant, they easily left the cheese off pizza for me but the owner cook had lived overseas before. In general hard to get customization. My boyfriend was vegan. Most foods in Japan have animal products like broth or bits of meat/fish.

I love that they give you the option with the cheese and the Tabasco but like they know that the food is amazing on its own I work at a Ramen shop and I almost feel insulted when people ask me for soy sauce because I know the Ramen doesn’t need it and it’ll change the flavor and it’ll just be like not the flavor we intended it to be we don’t even have like soy sauce bottles we just have soy sauce baggies because not that many people ask for it lol

This Egg Salad Sandwich looks 🔥🔥🔥 So fluffy just like japanese bread. Melon soda is amazing as well. #MaraschinoCherryIsChildhoodIceCreamToppingDreams 🥰🥰 Yes!
