I love the design of the Ami. If someone makes a winter kit (battery heater, and improved defogging) I would seriously consider importing one to Norway.

Such a stylish car, and it looks so comfortable with those thin narrow seats. The storage space is amazing; ideal for those big supermarket trips, I can imagine getting a weeks shopping for a family of 4 in there with no problem. And the chic stylish touches really give it a good finish.

I have been watching a few of you guys now with your Ami's and I saw my first one today! In Seaford of all places! For the UK market, if they could allow a higher top speed (I think the rules governing quads for the next step the max speed is 56mph, whether the basic car meets the extra criteria or not, I don't know, but it didn't look to be unobtainable) it would extend its appeal greatly. Agree, why would anyone want to drive a big suv down little roads, can't park, hard to manoeuvre, & costly to own/run. Thank you so much! I'm not a KZbin lol! Really? haha I've seen a couple now around Worthing and Brighton. I agree just a little tad more speed would be great. I had a new BMW back in 2019, it was 5 metres long and wheels so big I didn't want to kerb them so didn't relax owning it. It was impossible to park and pointless in the village we live in so I hope more people will adopt smaller vehicles! Very best wishes Anthony :-)

I've been on the fence for a few weeks now about taking the plunge and ordering an Ami Tonic; and I'm so glad I found your videos. Your candid good and bad viewpoint has been so helpful, and refreshingly honest for KZbin 'car' content. And when I saw your Nothing Phone reflected in the dash I knew I'd found a kindred spirit for the nice oddities in life. 😂 I think a second test drive might be in the works, especially now I know what to be looking out for. I used to buy Peugeots, and it's funny you mention poor service from Citroen. Peugeot were bloody rubbish too. My 508 GT went in for a service and came back with most of the dashboard buttons inop once. My first 407 was once sat at a dealer 100 miles away waiting for parts for the best part of 2 months.

Got my Tonic today. How do you wash it? What soap and cloth? Or do you take it to a normal car wash…won’t it get all scratched up in one of those? Did you wrap yours to protect it from bird poo/stains or the rain?

Great to hear! Best of luck and enjoy it! Just rinse off and wash with microfibre sponge using car shampoo. Never had issue! I wipe it down afterwards and as plastic bird poop no issue also 60% of roof glass so easy to clean. Best wishes Anthony

I think it applies to all quadricycles really. The Ami has notches in the front and rear frame ti absorb some low speed impact but of course once even slightly damaged, it's probably finished! Cheers

Yes it’s a very comfortable soft seating capacity, great defroster for windshield with a wiper that barely covers what you can see out front plus the rear glass is within easy reach of the rag to clear, fantastic heater and air conditioning, hot air bags, wonderful top speed and range, with fast 3 hour charging. But the best is the car is a complete crumple zone front to back all for a minuscule price. So what if the electric power to charge is cheap, if you don’t consider your or your passenger safety it’s really a winner. What’s not to like this POS.

only buy it on finance dont buy it with cash for £8 grand as they are not very well welded together as 1 youtube found , also im driving a petrol car but its only a 1.1 litre 3 cylinder Mitsubishi Colt its quick enough for me 11 seconds to 60 and gets 50mpg if I'm careful costs me around £20 a week in petrol and i drive a lot . You definitely dont need a V8 or Turbo super car in the UK besides where can you do the speed nowadays ? too many people in this country 1 million legal migrants came here over the last year so if we carry on like this we may all be on buses as there wont be the space on the roads for parking all these cars.

You make a good point! I did that also but left the maximum deposit I think. I have other cars that cost about £30 - £40 a week just for the short nursery run. To be honest I could have used a smaller car but just really wanted the Ami as a little, convenient run around and it's perfect for that. However romance aside, you are much better off in your little Colt as you have a comfortable seat, a proper heater and well it's a real car! Best wishes Anthony :-)

@@anthonytube Cheers 🥂 and do you know how much my Colt cost me ? £600 in 2018 and in the 5 years never had 1 major issue has drove to Devon and back from London only work been done general services and tyres and brakes , it’s on 127k miles but still zippy round town , only thing I don’t like is it is very loud 3 cylinders are like little rally engines lol 😂 anyway I may get an EV in a few years it’s the range that puts me off as in an Ami you only get 45 miles , my Colt does near 400 miles for £60 full tank so yeah range anxiety 😟 would get to me

@@christineayres7199 They are so reliable and make a funky little noise! I still have my 1st brand new car, a 2000 Nissan Almera... Sits like an ornament now but still drives and starts 1st time... I changed the oil about 12 years ago! To put that into context I paid £580 for two tyres on my BMW. So who's the smart one here? You are Christine! :-) Drive safe !

Sorry, but this thing is dangerous. It looks car-like so other motorists will think it IS a car - but it is *limited to 28mph* so it is only safe to drive around residential areas limited to 20mph. Everywhere else it is going to be a “mobile blockage” that is just going to irritate the h*ll out of other drivers - “What’s this guy’s problem! Why is he holding everyone up!” resulting in dangerous overtaking and horn-honking and angry fist waving. And then there’s crash protection - basically *none* . Now I might be prepared to take that risk for myself, but absolutely not for a child. Message to Citroen: increase the speed limit to 50mph, give it crash protection, and extend the pathetic range to 75 miles, reduce the 3 hour charge time to 1 hour and bring this in at less than £10,000 - *then* I might give it a second thought

This is only for urban areas 20 - 30 MPH. I only use on seafront that's rarely more than 25 mph but understand you point. They basically wanted to classify as a quadricycle to save on costs and yes safety is poor... No airbag as per the Twizy. Again I only use in village and seafront so never an issue. Best wishes! What an absolute load of crap £8000 28 yes a Porsche thrashing 28 mph and about 40 odd mile range every one should have one surely there's not that me any pratts out there dopey enough to buy one you can buy an as new supermini for the same cash and it will look last 10 years longer
