I'm a former touring artist and composer. I've written over 110 songs with around 40 recorded by other artists. I've been playing piano, drums, guitar and horns for over 40 years and a couple of my songs made the Top 100. Foxes and Fossills is not just good, they are truly amazing. Arrangements are outstanding. Playing is stunning. Vocals are as tight as any band I've ever seen. These guys are truly special and one of the best bands to ever perform pop tunes.

My wife and I could listen to so many other bands on KZbin, and do now and again, but always seem to come back to this group much more often.............that say's something.

@@lynwessel2471 That date cannot get here fast enough. I can't put my finger on it, but for some reason this group has something very magical about it. I really hope that they consider another concert at the same venue, possibly this summer. It seems as though it would be a much easier operation since they have already have done the first one and there is hardly any learning curve at that point. I most certainly will be there, and we are 3200 miles away! Anyway, thank you for keeping folks informed on this incredibly band.........They are a very special and incredibly talented group.

This band is simply stunning... EVERY single time! At this point I'm absolutely certain that there's no other band that can do covers that are consistently as good as the original at worst, and usually BETTER than the original. There is literally no weak link to this band, nor is there ever a poor performance. My only disappointment is I wasn't lucky enough to see their first show because that means I would have known about them since the beginning, and definitely would have seen them live more than once instead of not at all (at least not yet.)

Every song I hear you sing lead ALWAYS makes me think your voice should’ve been on am radio back when I was kid growing up in the 70’s and 80’s. Great job all the way around…..as always. 🎼🤙🏾 What I love about your group ….is the attention to detail in all your covers. This 10cc tune(big 10cc fan) …what I’ve always loved about(besides the incredible lyric writing and tight harmonies) was the vocal outro when Eric Stewart would do the call and response with “…the things we do for love..”, the back ground guys (if I’m not mistaken, Godley and Creme had left the group already)would respond with “oh-oh” and “yeh-eh” And, you folks did brilliantly. What blows me away is that Tim ends up with a tremendous mix despite the fact that the background vocals are all on the same mic! Natural blend because he can’t do much to balance it in post.

The F&F version of "Love Is The Answer" is one of the best performances I've ever heard by anyone. They are as magical as a certain group I first heard in my home town of Liverpool sixty years ago. Yes, that good.

I agree, it's my favourite too. It's a masterful bit of production, the way Tim builds the song into a climax. Not dynamics, that's just volume. But the mood, the level of excitement ebbs and flows like in a well-written story. Far better than any treatment by 'name' groups. It's world class, IMO. ..and of course, Chase Truran is simply superb on that cut.

We used to cover this with my band in the 1980’s and I can tell you it’s really tough. Having the ladies for backing vocals is a big help though. Top job we never got close to perfection and this is there in my opinion.

The way Tim takes these songs apart and puts them back together again is masterful. Most people this would take days to get right but these guys are such pros it was most likely all done in a couple of hours.

Tim did 2 videos on Patreon showing what's involved in arranging and recording.Took 25 minutes just to show the basics of what's involved. Meticulous work with individual performers perfecting an arrangement track by track. Record 8 people individually multiple takes , including Tim and Darwin usually doing several different things Then there's all the editing work to put it all together and mix it properly. Then recording video. Then the video editing and match the music to all the video shots. These are built sometimes over months depending on when people are available to record. Im sure it helps a lot to have Sam and Chase back living in Atlanta now. Always a number of songs in some phase of production. Otherwise it would be easy to crank out more than one per month. This level of quality takes some time.

According to Tim,he has always worked out his arrangements by recording himself singing all of the vocal parts. With Chase back in Atlanta she has been helping him some. She can sing everything but the lower half of bass.

Hardly, the songs are built over months as members have time to record. Thats the reason for so many separate video shots.( and singing/playing multiple tracks ) Tim usually has about 5 songs at some stage of development at once. A lot of work, but yes the result is fantastic.

An all time favorite of mine from one of the most underated bands of all...10cc and the harmonies are again top dollar .I never thought that a version of ' I'm not in love ' could be produced live on stage until I heard and saw the video of Graham Goldmans and the his 10cc perform at the night of the proms in the Netherlands , 2019 .Now they did have a full orchestra and choir to bring that wonderful synchronicity of sound to life , on par with the original recording .Its just a thought and it might take a few weeks of rehearsal but if any group of musicians and singers can do a great cover of ' I'm not in love ' it's Fox & Fossils .Kind regards and best wishs from England xx
