@@radiosification It's not missing the point at all. What I'm pointing out is that the lady was there to celebrate the King's Coronation, and they still arrested her for just standing in the crowd. If someone is actually protesting and that's who the police are targeting then that's who, and only who, they must target. Not just anyone standing within the next 20 meters. Instead the cops rounded whoever they wanted to just based on "I want to arrest you, although you've done nothing wrong", which was very clear when they released her. It was an absolute abuse of power, and if a good lawyer took the case, I'd guarantee they could make it into a violation of a citizens rights case. The police should only target the group they're after, not just anyone close by as well without evidence. All they achieved in doing was leaving a sour taste in the mouths of Australian's knowing that they treated one of ours like this for nothing. And the second most appalling thing is that they know they'll never be held accountable.

UK Police are disgusting. The MET arrested and locked up an Australian Lady for 7 hours for watching the coronation. NO JOKE. They claimed she was in close proximity where some protesters were so they took her away as well. Released her 7 hours later, no charges laid, and told her that's the end of it, matter closed. This lady is an absolute royalist and had been previously been invited to the palace by the queen for tea. I'll guarantee that she will now sue the pants off THE MET. The behavior of THE MET and these cops, especially the SGT are why no one likes, supports or trusts police in the UK nowadays.

Stop your vehicle ahead of someone, jump out, surround them, intimidate them with uniforms and multiple cops asking repetitive questions, refuse to answer any questions yourself and demand to know why that person is not committing a crime.
