It's a pity Robert Lumley didn't continue using his Disney-like cartoony style (along with his Easter egg-like critters doing silly stuff on the background of the illustrations) on future Well-Loved Tales titles based on animal stories like The Little Red Hen and the Grains of Wheat, The Sly Fox and the Little Red Hen or Chicken Licken. But anyway, his realistic drawings are also amazing and still hold up to this day.
