I love that Larry always played his own violin when they had to. He was actually quite good.
@hectorblacknight64853 жыл бұрын
If I remember this right, his father was a watchmaker/cleaner. One day as a young boy Larry was in his workshop and attempted to drink from a bottle of acid his father used to clean the watches, thinking it was a tasty drink. His father knocked the bottle out of his hands, but not before it splashed Larry's arm and burned it rather badly. The doctors suggested learning the violin to help his muscles grow back after the injury.

Actually a much longer soundtrack could be made. All of woman haters, all the various theme songs, and songs done between each theme song change, all the hello hello hello(s), Larry on the violin. all pop goes the weasels, various ending themes, could be possibly a 2 CD set. I might have to make my own.

They began in the vaudeville era, where everyone was expected to be able to sing, dance, play instruments, act, and tell jokes.
@TheRoguishOne2 жыл бұрын
That is true. They grew up learning to sing, dance, and perform screwball comedy. They were multi talented. I remember that Curly could play drums and standup bass and conduct a band. Moe could play harmonica and piano, and Larry could play violin since he was a little boy. Was never sure of what Shemp could play, but he was just as talented as his brothers and Larry. Most impressive!
