Man, I can't find Garth's video. I am happy this exists. I went through many music phases growing up, but the first was country, and I was a hug fan of Garth Brooks. I remember having a VHS of some of his concert footage with the third verse. I remember the video too. I later looked for the full song, but couldn't find it. I assume he only sang the entire song live, which is a real shame. I'd love to get his version of this without a million freaking fans in the background. But, I also love this because, my last phase was metal, and it became my favorite. When the phases ended, and I just kind of accepted that I like all of it, I went back and revisited this song with new ears, and I couldn't help but think, "Garth Brooks was really metal." And I wanted a metal cover to exist somewhere, but nobody had done it yet. This is just perfect. And it's awesome to see people reacting to this who actually know the original.

Honestly, while this is not bad, I much prefer the cleaner sound from Garth Brooks in his video. Tim Foust also does a fantastic (and simple) version of this song. His is just him and a friend with a guitar.

The look on your face was priceless. Garth Brooks version is better, in my opinion. And the video is very close to the original. As a female, who was emotionally abused, anyone who has been pushed too far, I can understand the abuseds snapping point. Plus, it's not fair to someone who has been broken down. It's a process that abusers do, over time, and a lot of the time, it's difficult to break the mental cycle. Which is why so many people, women especially, end up dead. It's wrong, evil and heartbreaking.

I have a child who also spent a couple of years in therapy, but only after the other parent met someone who doesn't put up with his bs and we found a therapist who would take our child. Every time I found a therapist, they refused therapy, because of him. It was heart breaking. My child finally said that dad destroyed their relationship and he started trying to repair it, but it's still pretty distant. She only goes to see the dogs and grandparents.

@@kellywilliams364 she is. She's honestly one of the strongest people I know. I met, and married a wonderful man a few years ago, 10 years after the divorce. She tells everyone that she's the most mature person in the house because we act like children. There's laughter and love, not yelling and tears. We have been told that we are relationship goals for my daughter and her best friend. Not to say that we never argue, we do, but we usually agree to stop, take a break and then discuss it with a calmer mind. Because of what I went through, and with the support of my family and friends, I'm stronger. My husband was pretty beaten down by his ex and he family. My family and I have helped him, as we put it, grow a spine. So now, when he tells me no, I'm proud. I don't always like it when he says it, but I'm thrilled that he stands for himself. Our relationship is better because of this. We are equals.
