I have been in tears listening to Kelsie’s story. I’m struggling really bad with my health and my mental health. I have an autoimmune disease along with osteoporosis of the spine, fibromyalgia and depression and anxiety. Just last week I saw a psychiatrist and he added ptsd and borderline personally disorder. I haven’t been able to work since being furloughed in April 2020. This only makes my mental so much worse. Money is definitely my biggest stresser right now bc my bank account is empty. My family has been helping but they have their own families to take care of. I think about ending my life every single day! I’m just a burden now to my family. I’ve pushed all my friends away after losing my 2 sister’s by choice, we’re taking 40 years of friendship and I lost them 3 months apart in 2021 which kicked my ptsd into high gear my dr explained. My daughter finally talked me into making a gofundme. I didn’t want to do it bc I didn’t want to be disappointed again. She was relentless so I made one. It’s been up 3 weeks now I think and $400 has been raised. I’m grateful for the donations we got but that’s not even going to pay the rent. I have signed my car over to my son bc I know I won’t be on this earth much longer. With my medical conditions living in my car isn’t an option so we’re back to me being a burden and just wanting to die. Now I pray every night for the lord to bring me home. I’m sorry to write a book here but I needed to say all this and writing it will have to do. I’ve watched your journey from the beginning. I just love you and everything you stand for!! I have a couple hoodies, tshirts and mask. I’ve always been a giver and it was my pleasure to support your journey when I was able! Thank you for being such an amazing role model! The world needs more Tia’s in it!!!!

Thanks for sharing your story Kelsie! It means a lot. Human-ing is soooo hard sometimes, but like you, I’ve also found that choosing gratitude does lead to happiness and peace even while navigating mental illness. 🙌🏻

Kelsie you’re so strong and brave to share your story❤️ I’ve gone through similar struggles. I appreciate when people will mention their mind tells them they want to die and they talk about it. I think it’s great when people aren’t afraid to talk about it because I believe there’s healing and great strength to be gained from that❤️
