It discusses needs, costs and potential problems with a variety of different species, including things I definitely wouldn’t have considered before watching some of his and some other snake/reptile channels, like is this animal widely available captive bred or will you end up with a wild caught adult that starves itself to death.

11:27. There are very few Lizards than can be cohabited with success. Even if they don't each other it will be stressfull and they may fight for other reasons. It's sorta like cohabiting a squirell and a wolf. They also live in completly different areas of the world and need different types of enclosure, lighting, humidity, terrain and heat. Geckos live high up in trees and Gilla monsters live in rocky deserts.

I had a anole lizard named Walter. I got him at the beach and I loved him. If you put your index finger and your middle finger together he would lay in the crease. Sadly he past away years ago. We buried in a fancy pen box. R.I.P. Walter

I owned two lizards that I caught in a Florida neighborhood. One of the lizards stole the body heat of the other lizard by hugging it. It also stole any crickets that would come near the other lizard so the other lizard would die. They're cold-blooded-emotionless-reptiles.

He said that monitors are venomous (before he brought up the Komodo Dragon)...Monitors are not unanimously venomous, and in fact only the Komodo Dragon species is, and even then it is not venomous, but rather has bacteria in it's mouth that secret toxins. Venom is a 1->1 process, assailant to victim. If the victim requires a third party/step, it is simply toxic. Just to note: venom is injected via a bite, poison is ingested by consumption, and toxin is a general term for whatever doesn't fit the other two categories. The Gila Monster and the Beaded Lizard are the only two TRULY venomous lizards on the planet discovered to date.

Okay but Komodo Dragon's bite is SOOOOO much more deadly than just the venom. They have the dirtiest mouths of all animals and this essentially makes their bite septic and almost guaranteed to cause an infection if you do somehow manage to escape it. Even if it doesn't eat you, you could still very easily die.

Ayo, in my elementary school we had a bunch of anoles to be class pets, so we left them in the class on each table, one day we left school and the class left the container open, so the next morning was chaos with anoles all over the walls, the janitor was freaking out, the girls were screaming and running around and we didn't catch them until a hour later, even then we were missing some we guess went into the vents, ever since when someone mentions anoles I get ptsd💀

That's Edaphosaurus, a pretty close herbivorous Dimetrodon relative, so a Synapsid-closer to mammals than to any reptile.

4:04 Actually wrong in that sense. Amphibians never evolved directly into Dinosaurs. They evolved into Amniotes, which evolved into Diapsids, Anapsids, and Synapsids. Anapsids were probably what turned into Turtles. Diapsids split into Archosaurs, Lizards and Snakes. Archosaurs include Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs, Birds, and Crocodilians. That image on screen isn't a dinosaur, but a Synapsid. A Synapsid was a type of reptile that would evolve into mammals.

Sad to say when getting reptiles it’s safest to get 2 of the same species and around the same age so they are less likely to eat each other unless they are both herbivorous in which case it doesn’t matter; not to say it’s not possible with 2 different size and species reptiles especially with proper precautions; just don’t get overly attached to the smaller reptile lest it be eaten Same with carnivorous amphibians

Lizards are Lepidosaurs, Crocodiles are Archosaurs, so, while still distant relatives of Dinosaurs and Birds, they are closer to them than to any Lizard and Snake.
