People really do underestimate how much meat you get from cattle. My mom found a local farmer who will sell direct to customers, and multiple people can buy a percentage of the cow to divide it up. She bought 25% of a cow. She then had to call me to take some of it off her hands because she ran out of room in her fridge and freezer. I still have some in my freezer months later.

The 5th one in the big 5 of Africa is not a cheetah, cheetahs are weaker than a German Shepard and their only strong suit is their ability to run extremely fast and turn on a dime, the 5th one is a Leopard which is able to carry prey up trees that are 3 times their weight.

The decline of the American Bison is really sad there used to be like 60 million of them roaming the vast grasslands from Alaska to Northern Mexico but they were almost wiped out by mass hunting by colonial settlers who wanted to expand westward. Thankfully all the Bison didn't get wiped out but I doubt their numbers will ever even come close to what they used to be

So Bovidae is a large family consisting of various members, including cattle, goats, and even Antelope, but it separates into subfamilies which is where the distinct differences arise. Muskox belongs to the Caprinae subfamily, same as goats and sheep, and Caprinae’s easiest to spot defining characteristic regardless of adaptation and size differences, is their longer muzzle that has a slight taper to it. Where as Bovinae, like cattle and oxen, have short broad muzzles. Muskox due to their sheer size and amount of fur make it hard to notice the difference, but they do not have a bovinae muzzle.

5:50 He's wasn't wrong about the muskox they may look like cows but they're actually related to goats. They're one of those animals that look like one type of animal but are actually another type of animal, take the fossa for example it looks like a cat but it's actually a mongoose.

So random tmi about the four chamber stomach maybe a lil tigger warning, organs My state is pretty big for agriculture and we have a lot of programs for it, we have this one special farm where they send agricultural students on field trips if you take anything animal class wise you will probably end up at that farm. I went in high school since I had a agricultural class, said class has traumatized me beyond repair in just the 2 years i had to take it. Basically, it's a pretty small-ish farm, with a bunch of equipment for taking care of cows and such, and they have this special cow on the farm idk what heath requirements are used to picked which cow or if they even have health requirements for this but to sum it up, they put a hole in the cow that leads to one of their 4 chambered stomachs and you get to stick your hand in there and rummage around, the cow is perfectly awake and standing up during all of this and they just plug it the hole with what literally looks like a stopper when you are done. Because my teacher was a evil woman it was required that all the students including me stick their arm into this cow and take a picture smiling with your arm shoulder deep into this cow. I will never forget the horrible feeling of the stomach churning around my hand and the SMELL, GOD THE SMELL, you are quite literally in an alive cow's organs, best way to describe it would be cut grass, sh*t, vomit and wet dog. The smell burned into my nose and it would always be a hint of it whenever I breathed for like 2 days. It's sooo uncomfortably warm inside and you can feel everything even through the glove they give you. The hole was no small hole either like it was a decent size big enough for a full grown man to go all the in up to the shoulders, and sometimes when the cow was digesting, it would leak a little.

Basically imagine a bigger than normal bull with more forward facing horns that acted like how he said the wilder beasts are

Sadly, Aurochs are extinct, which is why they weren't on the tier list. Aurochs are where we get our domestic cattle from, and competition with those domestic cattle (and human hunting) likely helped contribute to their extinction. There were efforts to revert domestic cattle back to their aurochs form, but all have failed.

The few places were there's some space for a large herbivor are already intended for the European Bison which itself almost kicked the bucket.
