The Problem: Operating our certified organic farm in northeast Ohio, we have experienced like other farmers the challenges of accessing tools and equipment that are reliable, appropriately sized and available for smaller acreages.
As large equipment manufactures have increasingly focused on industrial farms and tools to spray chemicals, we asked what it would take to help the small organic crop grower be successful in the 21st century.
Our Experience: We used our 50+ years of expertise as designers and manufacturers of turf and agricultural equipment, and set out to develop a uniquely designed tractor and mechanical cultivation tools to help the small farmer bring back the dream of successfully owning a farm again.
Our DNA and passion as a family business positions us to be a leader in producing quality American Made equipment and provide sales, service and support to the neglected small farms in our back yard and around the world.

I wish I still had my Grandads Avery V tractor and all its equipment the V was similar to the IHC CUB IN HORSEPOWER AND STYLE... IT WAS USED IN BOTH HIS COMMERCIAL STRAWBERRY FIEL AND HIS SWEET CORN FIELD....

I would be willing to bet there are old Farmall's around when none of these new tractors are around. Those old tractors were so over built. The axleshaft on a 16 h.p. Farmall A is as big a a 60 h.p. Kubota.

The 24 inch clearance is one of the reasons I've kept the JD 40 going seems none of the new garden tractors can work over a taller produce crop. I am also a big fan of belly mounted equipment.

The current price of the 520 tractor with Diesel is $29,500. Such awesome tractors. Have you thought about making one with a cab with AC and heat? That helps us who have bad allergies.

Thanks atcfisherman! We have not thought about a unit with a cab and AC/heat at this point, but thank you for the suggestions and who knows what the future will hold. A cab in the context of allergies is something I had not thought about!

Thanks for the comment. Visually the Tuff-bilt and Tilmor are both modeled after the Allis-G style, however they are substantially different from a physical product standpoint as well as target demographic, but they are both great products for their intended markets. This can be hard to see from a photo or video, but build and specification wise they are very different. Additionally a tractor can only be as good as the tools that can go with it.

I do agree that you guys put a completely new spin on the idea, not only is your tractor heavier, smaller, more powerful and has a diesel, with higher ground clearance, etc. but will you offer a belly mower for it? Like a Rotary/double action sickle

While it is a bit outdated, you can see in the first few seconds of the "Tilmor Tractor Overview" video a shot of the mid-mount brush mower. There will be a variety of mid-mount attachments available as time goes on, mower being one of the first. Also take a look at our Ventrac line of product, that will help you get a good idea of the current tractors we make, but maybe more importantly in this case is the breadth of our attachment line. The need for a versatile machine and our ability to make a wide variety of attachments to support the tractor is something we feel that we can do well. Have a good one!

The biggest problem with this tractor is the noise it produces. The engine noise is unacceptable. Make it as quiet as the Farmall 140 or the Farmall super A or Cub then it will be the small farm tractor of the future. Until then there is no way I will be sitting on this noisy thing.

James, we agree the noise on our early prototypes was unacceptable, since these videos were taken over 2 years ago we have added a dampener on our diesel model to greatly decrease the noise level. Thank you for pointing out what others were probably thinking.

The unit at 2:12 is a unit that we designed that uses an Agco White forced air metering unit. Unfortunately we have not made these available yet to the public.

@@TilmorProducts I was also wondering about this seeder. What progress have you made? I would be very interested in them as there definitely is a need for a quality made small row seeder. I use a G with three rows 18" apart and am in need of some new planters!

@@dieselgypsy1100 Unfortunately the maker of the metering unit is not interested in selling just that portion to us and we haven't found a reliable/economical option that we like. We have not put a lot more work into that area, though planting is something we want to get back in to.
