So this is basically the thing that got Rod Serling the twilight zone.

Rod Serling had written the scripts for many of the best live dramas of the 1950's. Sort of made for t.v. movies, before they new to call them that.. When viewers started not watching them, he started writing Twilight Zone episodes.

Lot of people watch The Twilight Zone every New Years and 4th of July.

Desi Arnez was the host of this episode. Lucy & Desi's production company Desilu Productions produced many classic television series of the era. Including the original Star Trek series. William Bendix played the time traveler in the story. Martin Balsam played the doctor. They both appeared in plenty of movies and television series of the era.

Desi pioneered the 3 camera shooting process for TV, which they still use for at least most actual TV.

The actor who played the doctor was also Arbogast in the original Psycho, released 2 years after this episode!

The doctor was played by Martin Balsam, who played Arbogast in Psycho.

Rod Serling was a genius. Everyone tries to copy his Twilight Zone series but none can capture the feelings you get from watching his original series.

Watching this was, I felt like I'd gone back in time. Back to a time before you knew that the Psychiatrist was in Psycho. And that the bartender was in the TZ episode with Buster Keaton and that the man who drew the picture was Don Keefer who once got turned into a Jack-in-the-Box. The lead actor, William Bendix, was an amazing actor who was also in a Hitchcock Film... Lifeboat. Plus, he played Babe Ruth in one of the worst biopics ever. Oh, yeah, and one of the guys at the bar was the guy who'd eventually become one of the Three Stooges, named Curly-Joe.

Agreed and I liked it too though it could’ve been done better in some ways, and that stuff with Lucy and Desi Arnaz was normal at the time, they were sponsored so actors would promote stuff like that. And good to know about the milk, I’ve just moved it to the door when I tidied up the fridge yesterday, time to move it back, I guess. Thanks and have a nice safe day!

I've been keeping my milk out of the door since an episode of House 10 years ago, where one of the characters mentions that it goes off faster in the door. 😊🥛

It was advertised as a Cinderella dress. I bought it on ebay about 5 years ago. Unfortunately it sits a bit weird on me, and doesn't suit me, so I just use it as background decoration. 😊 I can't find an exact match online to link to you at the moment.

Would have been enjoyable to watch this old precursor to The Twilight Zone, but the ongoing sound effects ruined it.
