Like Vavra said, KCD I was started with +- 11 people :D but that was only start ! Final version was made by +- 150 people. Still not big studio and budget but it was not small team which created first Mafia ( 20 people Vavra including ! :D )

OMG! I can't believe I missed this the first time watching - the throwback to the first game at 9:45 - That's exactly what Henry says in the first game when you try to venture into deep water! SO excited for this after 4 and a half years speculation it FINALLY gets announced. KCD is one of my all time fave games. Nothing like it out there, in my opinion.

Yes, they started with 11 people but during the development of KCD 1 they grew up to a number around 100. And that isn't much neither for such a game.

The fact is for this game they have more than doubled in size and resources for the sequel, which is awesome and I can't wait to see what they made.

I totally agree with you. I love the first one, played it multiple times and today when I saw the reveal, I was blown away, not only by the game footage but the incredible efforts put into that video, even god dawm henry actor and Hans are so involved in the reveal, the devs and the orchestra... this was magistral and they know and love their fan base for doing this! Also, one thing I love about the first game is the cutscene, which now we will have even more, but you can clearly see they are pro at it, by the actual presentation they did... like you never see this nowaday. I love WarHorse!

It is very rare these days that I'm genuinely excited for a new game, but i can't wait for this one. I absolutely LOVED kingdom come deliverance, spent 180H on it, completed all DLCs. There are only handful of games which i bought for a full price, for me its typically wait 6-12months and buy a better/updated version at lower price, but with KCD2 is a full price buy, just like it was for KCD1! Super excited, hopefully i will get new RTX 50 series gpu before this game comes out! Hyyype

I, for one, will be disappointed if you *don't* play your Henry with a bit of your signature chaos 😂! Your old Let's Play is one of the things that got me to have more fun gaming now by letting myself get things wrong and not reload all the time. I especially loved the bit where you got a bounty very early and ran away to another town to wait it out. Oops! Also second your comment about being pleasantly surprised it's a full 15-minute feature reveal, not just a teaser. No speculation on "ooh was that a crossbow?" Yes, yes it was, we also added early guns. I love this studio!

It will be huge...As natural German speaker I had the pleasure to see an interview with the PR manager of Warehorse (= A German guy) who spoke a bit over an hour about the game specifically although avoiding spoiling...so I can tell you it will be huge in every aspect because he could talk about it for an hour without spoiling anything about the actual story...the only story related thing he revealed was "It begins exactly where KCD1 ended." Will not spoil too much about what he told in order to not to spoil too much and in order to not to have to write an essay about an hour of conversation...BUT...for instance He also confimed the map of the town Kuttenberg is bigger than the whole map of KCD1 for instance and additionally there is a big second map which is just slightly smaller than the whole KCD1 map as well which is not urban. Asked specifically as "proportion" he said : Rattay was the biggest town in KDC1 but is basicallly offering as much as just a single side street in Kuttenberg. And about quests he said they all will be "a story adventure"s o to say and will - not - be just for "gather 5 of this and 7 of that" just for the boring sake of gathering something here and there just to be busy for no reason in order to skill up..

If you're looking for more information about KCD2, the Czech YT gaming channel "Indian - pořad o hrách" (Indian - a show about games) published a 45 min interview with the chief designer of KCD and KDC2 Prokop Jirsa, where he explains some new features (e.g. crossbows, firearms), the creators' intentions, the game systems (e.g. reputation system) and the dilemmas creators had to solve (e.g. no children). You can find it under the title: "Rozhovor o vývoji Kingdom Come: Deliverance II s vedoucím designérem hry - PVP" (Interview about the development of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II with the game's lead designer - PVP). I found this channel through KCD1 in Lady Lillia days. This video is so refreshing. like you mentioned, they didn't follow the usual 30 seconds of obscure, broken footage in favour of a more transparent reveal, showcasing the studios journey and goal with the game. I have to agree with the sieges and large scale battles. It would be cool to have a few large sieges and battles in the main story and even some more linear stuff as side quests or random events that you can take part in. Also, I'm not asking for a full army and commander system but it would be epic if we could recruit a small merry band of companions to help us with events like bandit bases and stuff.

Technically - it is not cathedral but "just" a temple no matter how stunnigly beautiful it is - word cathedral derives from cathedra (archbishop's throne) and there can be only one throne within one archdiocese and therefore only one cathedral within one archdiocese - within the Prague archdiocese it is St. Vitus cathedral thus Kuttenberg's St. Barbara is out of luck...

I also teard up at the end of the song when the chorus sings together with both male and female voices and that music drop and rise rings it rushed a feeling of looking back at something spectacular or summary of a life or something.. jesus I am a guy and I got struck with that feeling… music does that to people and its awesome to be able as human being to experience that. It drops that untold suspicion of me to a game dev studio that they do that only for money… but these guys made a gem… a hidden gem. Game they will do in future will have multiplayer as I was hinted by girl that worked for them… and if its true I hope it will be the same emotional package experience as this is. In KCD1 I thought the characters still had something I wanted them to have… deep conection.. I hope this game will have that TRULY. A deep nostalgia they will build for the character like in hollywood movies. My opinion and maybe not based in reality (sory) was the characters needed one more thing to be perfect. The facials were also some minus for me and now they look good. I am so eager to get this game and play it in the evening off work. This reveal had the gist I was lacking… and I have a feeling the game will finaly have it.

Thing is that Daniel Vavra started with Mafia 1 and was working on Mafia 2 and both were popular games then start from scratch on KCD and it was popular at the end again reason why is because he simply knows what he is doing... on the other hand some studios you can give them millions and they aren't capable of producing anything noticeable while i finished KCD like 5 times already.
