Just getting out of her car wouldn't be strong enough evidence that she was injury-free. And unless she was covered in blood or missing a limb or two, an actual injury would be hard to find from just a dash cam. The police report would certainly help though.

I work for an insurance company and we lose so much money every year from false claims for "neck injuries" from (usually low speed) car accidents. The worst part of it is that it makes EVERYONE ELSE have to pay more in premiums cuz so many successfully cheat the system.

I have a neck injury from early childhood that was never looked into and feels like it could've healed improperly. I can't look up for longer than a second or I'll be pulling the muscles in my neck which feels like I'm day two into being sunburned. I back flipped out of a swing set on the playground during recess, landed straight down on my head. Collapsed trying to get to the teachers and blacked out.. don't even remember how or when I got home. Wasn't even mentioned to me by my parents, no telling what that was all about. I can honestly say.. I could easily get a neck injury claim, but the professionals would probably see that it was past trauma. And I can't pay hospital bills.. poverty-stricken. Haha, I hate nonsense.

I rear ended someone once in a similar situation, except my car is what crumbled and the truck I hit had no damage. My car was basically totaled, and it was on a bridge during rush hour traffic so it took about an hour for any police to arrive. The guy I hit didn't even know he was hit until I went up and checked on him. He let me stay in his truck with the heat on while we waited for police since it was around 15 degrees and my car died.

I‘ve had a similar thing happen to me. I rear ended a woman whose car was totally fine while mine was completely wrecked. A week later she sued me for reckless driving and battery. I was in great shock since I made sure that she was fine after the crash. A month later the DAs office informed me that the case was dropped due to lack of evidence, i.e. her being completely fine and just trying to get some money out of it. I might have almost gotten sued in highschool. One day in French class we opened up to the daily reading page and there was a creepy looking kid looking backwards by turning his head behind him in the book smiling at the camera so I redrew him sacrificing a little girl with a knife in his hand with the severed girl on an altar with the text "you're next!" Kinda funny except I accidentally left it in the book. Next period apparently an asian girl opened up to that daily assignment and found my drawing and got freaked out and skipped school for 2 weeks and they threatened to sue our family but it turned out fine. I was laughing as soon as they pulled out the drawing at the super serious conference they had over the event. Good times indeed

me and my mum were in a car crash in 94 and we both faked whiplash. went to a dodgy doctor and he sent the report to the insurance company. my parents were broke and the money was super handy. It was sweet

Thats weird, usually the front of the car is made of tissue paper in order to absorb as much impact as possible. Rear end is always more sturdier than the front.

He might have had a bull bar on the front of his vehicle, which would change the story entirely. It's one of the biggest reasons why people who have bull bars in non-rural areas are morons. Not saying he had a bull bar, but if he did it'd explain why things ended up the way they did.

10 years ago something similar happened to me where a lady said she had neck injuries 1 month before the statute of limitations was up on pressing charges. The insurance lawer they had me talk to told me that this is super common in these types of accidents and they 99% of the time settle at no cost to us the consumer.
