You relieve it by lots and lots of water and proper sleep. I know you're constantly busy and everything but you're schedule seems to be alot more hectic than many creators out there, and while I know you love the hustle, without your health you cannot do anything. Take care of your health so you could do things better quality > quantity. This is not to be negative in anyway, im your biggest fan but sometimes I can't watch the full vlog because your nervous energy and business increases my anxiety. At the end of the day its your life you do whats best for you, and ill decided which videos I can watch and are good for my inspiration and which aren't. Love you Lilly.

a stretch that i find really helpful for neck & shoulders: 1. sit on chair with like a really straight back 2. to stretch the right side of your neck - use your left hand, put it behind the right side of your head, and then gently push your head down towards the left. 3. for your left side of the neck, do the opposite. not sure if you'll ever read this comment, but if you do.. really hope it helped.

Step 1 to relieve said tension - 1. SLEEP. Sleep is when your muscles relax and repair, I know you're busy all the time but gurl! You gotta let your body heal. I don't remember the last time you said you slept for more than 6 hours, which still isn't even enough. Also you could maybe get a foam roller, they're supposed to be super awesome for relieving tense muscles and i'm sure you could find a few neck and chest muscle stretches to do on one.

I get tension headaches and migraines a lot. Here's what I do, if I know I'm sufficiently hydrated that dehydration shouldn't be a cause. First, pain reliever and strong coffee. Then I break out the anti-inflammatory cream I make and keep on hand for this and RA, and I massage some into my temples down to my jaw. Then I do the same for the base of my skull, down the back of my neck, and onto my shoulders. Then I wrap a hot rice bag around my shoulders and lay down somewhere dark and quiet to sleep through it as much as possible. Hope you feel better soon.

Girl, you gotta get some medication for those migraines! Next, look into trigger point shots to release the knots. Also, regular massages, physical therapy, and gentle stretching every single day. Finally, lots and lots of deep breathing/meditation to help manage the stress.

I have a ton of shoulder stress from being a student. One of my favourite exercises is standing at an end of a wall, putting one of my shoulders against it, face towards the area besides the wall, and go forwards, so that your shoulder is pulling away, back from it's usual position. Try to keep your body straight, and never turning. the only thing touching the wall is your shoulder and arm. You can also face away from the wall, and pull your shoulders forwards as well. A tip to go even further, is to grab the wall with the hand on the side of the shoulder you're stretching, and then do it. I'm not sure if that made sense.

Hey Lilly I am a Physiotherapist and can help you with that pain First we need to figure out the actual problem like is it just tension or muscle spasm or trigger points or something else.. Also you should check the flexibility of your neck muscles and u can Google Norman range of motion for neck that will give you a measure of your motion You can try basic neck exercises like neck isometrics and stretch for upper trapezius fibers and you can also take hot packs for specific areas Let me know if u need help whenever P.S. I love you so much and you are a real motivation...

I am a chronic migraine sufferer and have fibromyalgia. What helps me, to some extent, is increasing my water intake, drinking chamomile tea, taking magnesium supplements and stretching. 1.Rotate your neck each direction, slowly. 2. look left, slowly; holding it for a few seconds than look right, slowly; holding it a few seconds. Do this several times. Also, 3.roll your shoulders; slowly backwards and forwards. (I learned these in physical therapy)Try acupuncture.

I've had migraines for over 10 years. Something that's helping is cracking the points you showed in the video. Keep both (or one at a time) hands on the back of your waist (your elbows would be facing back) and push your arm towards your spine not too far back but quick and short so it cracks. That relieves a lot for me recently. Hope it helps! Love you.

As someone who suffers from migraines almost like yours, here are things that I do: 1. Run. I kid you not, I run not because I wanna be fit. I run whenever I think of the incapacitating pain of a migraine. 30 minutes/4 times a week. (It also helps in keeping you happy) 2. Hot showers. I tweak the shower head to give more of a fine jet of water (most shower heads can do this) turn up the heat and let the water pound on the knots in my neck and shoulders. 3. Find the knots in my neck and shoulders and use my thumbs to apply pressure and release the knots there. It is craaaaaaaaaaazy when I apply the pressure to a knot in my neck and feel my headache getting a bit of relief. 4. As much as possible, avoid sitting in bad positions (I dunno... sometimes flying and being forced to sleep in one position for example could be a way this could happen?). I normally get mine when I go grocery shopping and lug heavy bags to my apartment. 5. Hot packs. If you don't wanna take showers buy hot packs. They are microwavable. Place them around the knots. It releases the tension in the knot muscles.

Lilly, have you ever thought about acupuncture to relieve your neck and shoulder pain? There are also a few stretches you can do to help with the pain that you can look up online.( Physio and/or Yoga positions.) Another thing is to be mindful of your neck position when you sleep. Bending and stretching it in a way it's not meant to move over a certain amount of time causes pain. Also, drink more water and use a cool cloth or ice packs to take down the inflamation in your neck. Hope this helps you.

Sounds like a stress headache. You feel the stress in your muscles of your neck and shoulders which then causes headaches. I usually make a tea from one part basil leaf, 1 part lemon balm leaf, and 1/4 part chamomile and/or lavender. Use a tsp of the dried tea blend per cup of boiling water and let it steep for 10-15 minutes then strain. Works really well. Only cautions are if you are allergic to any of these don't use it and DO NOT DRIVE. I've found with me it relaxes me so much that driving isn't a good idea. Try it at night before going to bed. Good luck!

I have the exact same tension headache problems. I see a physio to treat them. But some stretches that I have found which help are: rolling your shoulders forward and back, stretch your neck/head side to side, stretch your arms out in front and arms out behind you, also yoga (ie downward dog) I find helpful. Hope this helps!

Lilly! I went to physical therapy for similar neck problems. I found that the best thing for pain and tension relief was massage followed by electrical stimulation. The deep tissue massage is quite painful, but the stimulation the next day would usually rid me of all soreness. It was beautiful! May be worth a try for you!

I actually get pretty bad migraines and tension headaches with a lot of the same triggers. Going to a chiropractor helped a lot. Like Lilly, I had so much tension in my shoulders muscle spasms were visible. Try out a chiropractor and see if that helps. For people who work at computers a lot, the curve of their neck and the vertebrae in their neck change alignment in a way that can be extremely uncomfortable (trigger headaches, pinching nerves, causing muscle spasms, etc.) Hope that helps. I know how horrible a bad migraine can be :).

Lilly, I don't know if you'll ever see this, but I personally suffer from chronic pain, and I'm sorry you've been having bad headaches. That's never fun. You're right about needing to get more sleep and drink more water. Both of those things help a lot. Other than that, I've found that using a tennis or lacrosse ball is really helpful for relieving tension. Just stand against a wall and use it to massage your tense areas. You can also roll up a hand towel and put it under your neck while you lay down. Also, I know it may sound strange, but if you take a few minutes a day to sit in a comfortable, upright position and just focus on your breath (basically meditate), that will help you relax. Sorry this was long, but I hope that helped some. Feel better!

Chest and front part of the shoulder stretch: Put your arm in a 90 degrees angle at the height of your shoulder. Place your hand and elbow against a wall in the 90 degrees angle. Now turn away with your upper body to stretch chest and front part of the shoulder. Trapezius muscle stretch (neck): Turn your head to the right, bring your left shoulder down. Now turn your head 45 degrees. Hold both stretches 15 sec. and do them on both sides of your body. Greetings from a personal trainer.

Bahahhahahahaha your 30 seconds of saving the world made the whole video worth it. Thank you Lilly! Also, when we warmed up in yoga class we did this one move that stuck to me forever - it's my go to move to strech my neck and shoulders. Stand up tall, hands next to your body, and on inhale you bring your hands up in a half circle motion to bring them above your head - intertwine your fingers, palms face toward the ceiling, and stretch toward the ceiling --- as you send force through your palms to stretch up, bring your shoulders down, you should feel the stretch from your lower neck down through your shoulder muscles and scapula bones. It's a pretty intense stretch so it requires constant effort to stretch up and down at the same time -- as you stretch your arms to the sky you're attempting to push the shoulders the other way. If the fingers get slippery during the stretch just take a breath and intertwine them again without getting frustrated that you can't hold the stretch. It's a tough one if you do it right. Don't forget your breath, it must be controlled deeply in and out for the same count (like 4 in, hold 2, 4 out). And hold the stretches for maybe 2-3 breaths. Then you have to counter it, and stretch toward the ground to balance out your stretch. So, you bring your hands gently back down, and as you close the circle back toward the body, you take your down hands toward your butt and intertwine them again at the back -- stretching, this time, toward the ground while looking up, to stretch your neck and shoulder muscles. Do this a couple of times, like 3-4 times and you'll feel a difference in your shoulder and neck muscle tension. I hope it helps, beauty! * heart hugs *

Work out a way to get more rest! SO important. That will help migraines and tension. Lay on a cervical pillow, on your back, when you first lie down to go to sleep, before turning over on your side and sleeping normally or whatever. Definitely morning stretches, and brief ones before bed. This will help.

I am NOT a doctor or anything but for me whenever I have a migraine (which is sometimes a few times during the month) I always massage my 'third eye', the bridge of my nose, and around my eye area, whether that may be the top of my eyebrows or my temples. I also find that if you keep your skull back a bit (double chin look), that may help because you're putting less pressure on your nerves and muscles that way. Also for some reason putting a cold pack around my eyes helps too. Hope this helps! I LOVE YOU LILLY

Okay girl, so my Chinese friend suggested me to do the namaste with hands...BUT FROM BEHIND...like namaste from the back instead of from front! I know it sounds cray, but whenever I do it my shoulders and neck and everything feel so relieved! You gotta try it!!

Lilly! So sorry about ur migraines! I get them too. Tried LOTS of things and saw a few top migraines specialists in Boston, at MGH and Brigham and Women's Hospital. Best natural pain reliever I found has been ice packs on the back of the head and back of the neck. Best natural preventative remedies I found were more water & sleep, minimal coffee (1-2 cups a day only), and no chocolate or sugar :( so sad, but it helps. (I've read cold packs and caffeine are natural remedies that work because they constrict blood vessels and migraines are often caused by inflamed blood vessels in the back of the neck and head). Best med for me has been Sumatriptan, and meds don't work well for me, so this was a huge blessing. Avoid ibuprofen and acetaminophen like the plague... They cause terrible rebound headaches after you take them. My MGH migraine doctor told me this and changed my life for the better, but it did take a few months for the headaches to lessen after I stopped taking OTC stuff.

Ive had neck and shoulder tension that causes headaches for years, I feel you on how awful it is and how much you just want to complain about it all the time cause nothing helps! I go to the chiropractor and a massage therapist every other week, and I'm starting physio back up because my tension is caused by my terrible posture. A good stretch I've found is facing the corner of a room (2 walls that meet on a 90degree angle) with your hands pressed up on either side of the wall at whatever height you want, and then lean in. It opens your chest and pecs. Also my hometown is an hour east of Toronto, I love that you're from around there too :)

Hey Lilly, you could try tapping your meridians, it's certain pressure points on your head, neck, upper chest and sides that can help. You might have to google exactly where they are, but it might help. And you don't have to stab yourself, just tap on them lightly. I'm sorry if it doesn't work, but you could try it. Also, one thing that helps me when my neck is hurting is very, very slowly rolling my neck all the way around. Good luck Lilly! I hope these help!

For those pressure points - stretch your arms by putting one arm behind the back/side of a chair next to you and press against it with your shoulder from the side you're pressing against slightly raised! (on each side for which pressure point sides hurt you!) Hope that made sense 🙈

If you find an area on your chest where it hurts to press down, press down lightly until it's just barely uncomfortable with the opposite side's hand, and rotate the other arm back, up, around, then down in the front. Do that a couple times til you feel a bit looser. That helps with tension in the elbows as well as the head for me. When I'm typing for a really long time in one position my elbow tendons start to hurt and I do that exercise and it helps loads. Hope this helps you!

I had really bad migraines a few years ago that I couldn't find the source of until I went to a specialist and he told me it was because I had a pinched nerve in my neck. I saw an Osteopath regularly and he helped stretch out my neck muscles! Now, whenever I get a headache, I just stretch it out and I feel great! I hope this helped :)

Place your thumbs on either side of your spine at the bottom of your neck and push upward along your neck. It will go into a little divot at the base of your head and push into that and hold for a few seconds. It's supposed to relieve pressure. That's what I do. Repeat that a couple times. Hope that helps!

Not sure how to describe it, but a good way to stretch your inner shoulder pressure points is to point your forearm/upper arm/whatever on a wall, at a 90 degree angle to your bicep. Then push your arm back and/or push your torso forward. For your neck, I'm not sure. Lots of neck rolls? Hopefully you understand I mean. It's difficult to explain.

A cold compress to the back of the neck will help with the nausea, best thing for a migraine (I suffer often) is basically an over the counter migraine med; unless your doctor prescribes you something.

I have tension headaches all the time and they are the worst. I usually massage zandu balm(you can find it at all Indian grocery stores in the USA) into the two knots that form in my beck. I also find that a heat pack helps, and tying a tennis ball in a sock and using it to massage my neck. In cases where I Have a really bad migraine I will take ibuprofen.

My neck is always hurting and I accumulate an abnormally large amount of tension in my shoulders. I try to stretch my neck for at least 5 minutes before I go to sleep, give myself a massage whenever I have the time and concentrate on my posture throughout the day. As soon as I started being conscious of the tension I noticed that I clenched (?) my neck and shoulder muscles A LOT, even when I brushed my teeth or shampooed my hair. I hope this was helpful.

I get really bad migraines and I find that if I get the same amount of sleep each night it helps. I also aim to drink a lot a water each day. I also find that I have very tense shoulders and neck which often give me migraines so what I do is get those areas regularly massaged to relive it.

Lilly, Im a licensed massage therapist. Your neck tension sounds like you need a structural or Thai Yoga type of massage. These types of massages specifically target the deep tissues and muscles surrounding the bones to relieve the deep aches and move fascia (the surrounding lining around the muscles) which should effectively remove pain and prolong a relapse. If you cant get to a massage studio than seeing a sports based chiropractor (also good if you have had whiplash in the past, an adjustment can sometimes help) and recieving his type of massage (called myofascial massage) is a good way to do it cost effectively since a doctor, like a chiro, can bill to insurance depending on if your insurance has coverage for chiro care. All massage therapists should be offering self care routines for you to do. Good exercise, ergonomics, and posture are the keys to relieving pain. Be patient with your body, it will take time. Im sorry for the info overload, I know I gave you a lot to Google. Im an open book if you wanna ask any questions. Much love!
