I love the gas pipeline launch. In central PA we have so many long ridges but nowhere to launch, I've always fantasized about doing a sled ride off of one sometime, and those pipelines are some of the only sites that look decent enough to launch from on a low wind day.

Tucker, I’m an old ultralight pilot from the early days (30 years ago). Your videos bring back memories. Let me share with you some “tricks” that we learned to stay warm. We found that some of the cold weather bicycling attire worked well with cold weather flying. Some of the cycling pants that are available use a Mylar layer in the front to keep the wind from penetrating, and since the clothing is designed for athletics, running wasn’t compromised (-Layers of clothing made that a problem). -Same with some of the cycling jackets. Plenty of pockets to store stuff, and “weatherproof” material restricted the wind. -Of course long-finger cycling gloves allowed protection, but retained finger sensitivity. -Just something to check out and consider.

I ride motorcycles . Under my clothes I wear “feeze out” thermal protection. Extremely light weight and completely blocks wind up to 50-60 mph. Go look at a motorcycle shop. And idk if they will be to thick but you could get battery operated heated gloves. The heating part is only on the back side of your hand not on the inside. You are making me think about getting in to this. Looks like a good time.

Spent 30+ years riding motorcycles. Diagnosed with MS 10 years ago, gave up riding a few years back. I miss the adventures SO BADLY. I miss the enthusiasts (like you and Tucker - all the "old" guys and all the "young" guys!). I miss seeing things in ways others haven't. I'm thankful for Tucker's videos. I'm thankful for Tucker's sense of adventure. I'm thankful for life and our ways to see and experience it. I wanna a paramotor. Sure wish my meds weren't over $150k per year.... You find someone with one that's trained for tandem flights and you go up with them and learn how to take off, fly, and land. And when you think you're ready- you buy one and go for it. At least that's how it used to be- things may have changed though- my cousin started flying one about 20 years ago I think- he had a pilot's license but I remember him telling me he didn't need it to fly the paramotor. He flew little single engine prop planes but he swapped over to this because he felt it was much safer. Then he crashed his paramotor- hit some powerlines after doing some touch and go landings in a field. He was alright- still flies it but- not very often, he's getting older now.

Thanks for the video/videos! I have dreamed of flying for a long time and ended up getting my PPL in 2015 then stopped flying because of expense. I am planning on getting a PPG because it is less expensive than renting or owning a plane. Also I want to be able to land and takeoff from remote locations. I love your videos because they give me the opportunity to enjoy the sport while working on finding a rig. You are a true honor to have in the sport. Thanks for living the dream and keeping it alive. That ice skating situation was super sketchy! I used to rollerblade a bunch when I was a kid and then fast-forward 15-20 years and our daughter gets invited to a skating rink b-day party. I thought I'd try out rollerblading again on the rink, and while it came back to me like riding a bike, I was pretty wobbly - going from being a small agile child zipping around to being a full grown man who doesn't get enough exercise, I almost crashed into a little girl. I had fun though zipping around the rink for a bit.

Hey bro do you know what the US military uses to fill chips on the carbon fiber helicopter rotors? Super glue and baking soda. It sets up instantly when the baking soda hits the glue. For the hopefully not next fall you take and ding up your rotor again. I glued an electric weed wackier back together with the stuff and it’s amazing. Give it a try.

Never in my wildest imagination did I think I’d want to get into this sport. My wife (filipino) and I are moving to the Philippines. We’ll be living in a very remote part of a province. Roads are very few and far between. The paramotor will be a God send for meeting out transportation needs. Keep up with the “how to” videos.

Good luck with that, There are almost no places that you can launch from, Too many trees, houses no flat grass padocks just rice fields, Roads full of traffic, etc etc Watch out for snakes too when walking around long grass bloody dangerous.

Me and a buddy once built a giant kite with a 6 foot wingspan. Kite string would not work so we used a heavier cord. It wasn't strong enough. About 5 minutes into the flight the cord broke and the kite came down in the middle of the highway 3 miles away. If it would have hit a car, it would have broken the windshield and possibly killed someone. Trying to control that kite was Hell because the wind was extremely strong on the huge kite.

Tucker! We’re both members of the Jackpot NV paramotor club! I took off/landed on BLM designated land right at the south edge of the airstrip... I slept in my travel trailer in the school parking lot... my motor froze overnight... but thankfully I thought to cover the air box/carb... I’m way bigger than you... so every time I launch it’s like I have all of your gear. 🤣😂

I'm old (68), and want to fly like a bird like you. One year ago a neurosurgeon put a rack of Titanium rods, and over 20 screws in my back so I can stand up straight. Watching you and others online is so tempting. I've seen you take some tumbles, but nothing major that hurt you. I'm going to keep on researching Parasailing---definitely not Paragliding---too risky, but I want to fly, and not interested in flying an airplane, so keep up the great videos---they are inspiring!
