In 2015 the LSU Tigers defeated the Auburn Tigers 45-21. Running back Leonard Fournette ran for 228 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries. This included multiple monster runs against the Auburn secondary.

Fournette had his beast moments, and they were beautiful to watch. He was betrayed by LSU's bane: terrible quarterback play. Teams weren't worried about the passing attack and could build their defense around stopping Fournette. The fact that very few defenses ever actually did stop him is a testament to his talent and work ethic.

Fournette was a beast and anyone whipping Auburn is a beautiful thing to watch. But the video where we stuffed Fournette has nothing to do with LSU. It's because we want to be reminded of a time when we actually knew how to play defense. Don't get me wrong, I love our new "score 50 on everyone" game plan. But a good game for our defense these days is when we hold the other team under 30.

That game was all on coaching not Fournette. During that game, Alabama ran the same defense the entire game and Les Miles didn't adjust to that defense. He just ran the same plays and hoped for the best.
