I'm scared to touch babies at all, have to sit on a chair and hold my arms out the way I would if I was holding a baby, then have someone else pick the baby up to put in my arms, basically like when a kid wants to hold a newborn baby and they're told to sit down and out their arms in that position and someone puts the baby in their arms, except I'm 36 and that's the only way I'll hold a baby, I'm terrified ill hurt them, either pick them up wrong or even drop them if I'm standing :/ Scary 0_o

Just watching this documentary and then googling Charlotte, and its heartbreaking to know that she passed away in May 2024, but also amazing that she got to go to school and have friends and enjoy her short life as much as possible, and also amazing that people got to enjoy her for a little longer than first imagined. @@tigerslear - It was super thoughtful of you to attach the link to this video, but it’s 6 years old, so it doesn’t reflect her life today. I think she’s around 15 y/o now. As far as I can tell, she’s alive and well….although somewhere around 2012 a woman in the US who shared Charlottes full name passed away, which led to a lot of people assuming that this Charlotte Garside was the one who passed away. There are still articles from around that time which claim that she’s dead, making it difficult to suss out whether she’s in fact still alive. But based on 2022 reporting, it’s more likely she’s alive - there just doesn’t seem to be a definitive answer, supported by family, close friends, or anyone directly familiar with her medical condition.

I have a granddaughter who had growth restrictions in the womb. At 38 weeks she was only 3lbs 4oz. She is very slow to grow. She looks proportional and grows slowly but she's fairly normal with her milestones. She's 3 and a half but only weighs 20 pounds. She has other problems, but she's happy and well loved. I can't imagine having a child like Charlotte, though you take what your given and love them regardless. She has a wonderful family.

just a story to share When I gave birth to my oldest child she was 6wks early. So she went to the NICU There was a baby there as small as Charlotte.. born at 1lb .. some odd oz. No one ever came to visit her. I've always remembered and wondered about her. Her name was Ashley and I hope all was well. My daughter left before she did. She had already been there for 4mo. before my daughter was born and she still weighed less than my daughter did who only weighed 5lbs 13oz. Ashley was up to 4lbs when we left. It was heartbreaking that no one was there for her.

Those parents are amazing they are positive most of the time. They have a good support which they really need. It’s a horrible disease and they live day by day wondering what’s next. My baby girl was less then 2lbs at birth and deal with constant bullying at school. She’s not 9 but she’s the size of a 4 year old. :( and every years kids return after summer break bigger and she’s the same size. I wish parents would talk more to their kids about everyone being different . My daughter already has it rough enough with nonstop dr appt and constant blood work body scans etc. she doesn’t need to deal with mean kids in addition . I wish teachers and principals would offer more support …. But life isn’t fair. this little girls is adorable and perfect the way she is ❤️ blessings!

O’ myJesus she’s absolutely by fr the sweetest most precious child I’ve ever seen and all children are precious in my eyes and heart ♥️ Regardless of their disabilities or whatever the case my be. O’myGoodness she’s S0 adorable. God Bless her, her mom, dad, siblings, grandparents and rest’ve the family can see they all deeply love her so much. I know what it’s like having sick child I lost my bbyboy he was 17-months old. It’s the hardest thing you will ever in life go thru the not knowing IF or when something tragic will happen to you’re baby you love and cherish more then you’re own life.
