Hi Ben, I would do anything to remove or even reduce my tinnitus which includes wooshing pulsatile tinnitus. I would have surgical interventions, yes. This condition is extremely difficult to live with. I have to take benzos just to get to sleep every night. It’s a severe, life diminishing illness which I’ve had now for more than seven years. The sounds get louder every year.
@barbaramilton41614 ай бұрын
I would yes. I have both kinds of tinnitus and can’t sleep. I can’t even get into to see a neurologist….. their appointments are a year out. I’ve wanted to have these things checked out but ….. I am older but it started when I was younger. A minimum work up just isn’t available.

It's been almost 2 years. And I am still living with tinnitus. Everyone asks me, "Do you still hear ringing in ears?" When I answer in affirmative, they just fall from the sky. ☹️☹️People never understand our pain. They think it's very interesting to experiencing tinnitus.😫😫

Buyer be aware! 1 CT scans equals to 250 - 300 x-rays, and 1 in 1000 patients WILL develop CANCER because of that one CT scan within 20 years! BUT THEY STILL PUSH THEM RIGHT AWAY! Any doctor who starts by recommending DETRIMENTAL to your health Scans and medication is a CARPETBAGGER! Have you tried Push Ups with your feet elevated, stretching (while you still can before you get old and develop clots)! Do you squat and stretch often through out the day! Do you watch your nutrition (blood pressure)! Do you take fast walks alternating to slow runs! Understand this, it is not new, Medicine is a TRILLION DOLLAR industry. Buyer be aware, don't become a victim and a product in an assembly line! Doctors have become unaffected by the thousands they see with the same issue. Some believe what is taught to them in medical schools that Big Pharma has invested in, others are afraid to go against Big Pharma, and yet others are greedy, narcistic and just want to make some money through what the philosophize as population control. Biopsies cause metastasis by spreading the cancerous cells through the blood stream, Chemo causes earlier death, more deadly stress, financial ruin and destroys whatever chance a person has to live a longer and a better life; but they still promote it. The better doctors are those who have their own small private practice, steer you away from medication harmful to your liver, kidneys, stomach, heart, cells and circulation system, as much as they can to avoid lawsuits, and instruct you to exercise, and watch your nutrition first. For tinnitus: elevate your feet on a bed and do push ups ( if you are in good shape you can walk backwards against a wall and do inverted sit ups; if not by a $200 inverter to reverse the negative effects of gravity, don't stay inverted for too long). After a hot shower stretch a towel behind your head and roll your head gently on it, due a few squats and a few push ups, sit ups etc. Exercise often to improve circulation and stay away from doctors who see you as a sheep in need to have its wool removed with the hide and gathered.

My ear specialist prescribed me Carbamazepine years ago. It is a medication for epilepsy. The tinnitus is not gone but it does help to reduce the strength, I use it every day. Not many specialists have experience with this.

I have high pitched pulsatile tinnitus. It came on acutely 3 years ago. I've had all the proper tests/imaging, and had the results reviewed by Dr. Amans at the pulsatile tinnitus clinic in San Francisco. Nothing vascular or any other cause found. I've leaned to live with it. It's variable, very loud sometimes, sometimes very soft. I would be interested in seeing a guest speaker address the other causes of PT.

I started to hear my heartbeat, after a sinus rinse. I just squeezed the bottle too much and heard a loud pop on one side. I lost some hearing and now hear my heartbeat and severe pain from what I believe is from some sort of internal injury I have had all the necessary tests and still feel pain, and especially when the heartbeat gets loud My case has been reviewed by many experts but they can’t conclude what happened. It has been one year in August I also have burning in my ear The interventional nuerosurgeon can’t help me, he is the one who did all the critical tests needed Went to ent, and they can’t help Me either😢😢

why would a vascular cause of pulsatile tinnitus be intermediate. I would expect it to be constant as this a constant anatomic abnormality. Please explain. Thank you

It varies greatly from one person to the next. Increases in blood pressure can also impact the variability of pulsatile tinnitus.

First I had tinnitus for years and years, it sucks, but I have learned to live with it. Then I got PT, it’s scary at first because it’s new and I don’t hear it until I sleep and it doesn’t really bother me. Maybe I’m just lucky mine isn’t loud. But the last few months I now have a balance disorder and this is truly debilitating.
@treblehealth3 ай бұрын
I’m sorry to hear you're dealing with both tinnitus and a balance disorder. It’s great that you’ve found ways to manage tinnitus, but I can imagine how challenging a balance disorder must be. Consider talking to an ENT doctor and Audiologist for targeted help with your balance issues. If you need more information or support, feel free to reach out.

You can’t habituate to this crap, unlike regular tinnitus. My life never the same the last few years, I can still get by but quality of life is much less, especially when it comes to physical stuff.
