I’ve been on klonopin everyday .5,mg. for my depression and tinnitus do to high end hearing loss for the last few months. Been recently having difficult time with my tinnitus or it could be a klonopin withdrawl if I skip a day.

@@DG-ie5ip Hello my friend. I am a musician from Greece. 36 years old. I have had tinnitus for 1 year and 1 month. I got tinnitus in my left ear (one continuous beep at about 4khz-5khz). Now, a year later and still working as a musician (with earplugs of course), this ringing has increased 3-4 levels and started to lower in volume in the right ear as well! My tinnitus started after having water suctioned into my blocked ear at an ENT. I considered that perhaps the noise from the suction machine caused auditory trauma to my ear (which was already strained by the sound intensities of my job, 18 years as a professional musician). I'm definitely dealing with it better than when I was depressed the first time, even with the more intense tinnitus I have now. But even today, it robs me of happiness.. I'm not sure if I should stop being at my work place that I love so much! I have also tried some antidepressants for 5 months but stopped them because I don't feel better and they could only do me harm in general. I became a father 1 month ago and I can't even enjoy my child as I should. Unfortunately, I'm constantly searching for my tinnitus and I have a huge perception of sounds as a musician. So I can hardly take my mind off the ringing. Luckily I sleep at night but with melatonin. But I sleep hours that are forbidden for our body, for example 5-6-7 in the morning! This has been going on for 15 years for sure. I will rarely sleep 3-4 in the morning. I think this thing adds to the tinnitus a bit. There are very few times I forget the tinnitus. Either when I'm too busy doing something, or when I go out and it's loud enough to cover up the tinnitus. I don't know how my situation will change in 1 year from now, nor how much more the tinnitus will increase. My audiogram is considered perfect up to 12khz and then begins a gradual hearing loss curve that peaks at 16khz, with a 50db loss. I hear very well. I also have a slight degree of hyperacusis. Also sometimes the following happens: The tinnitus in the left ear stops completely and a new louder sound appears in the right ear, usually lasting 10-15-20 seconds. Then I'm back to normal. In other words, all the sounds I hear in my ears are canceled (3-4 frequencies in total) and there is only one louder sound that lasts a little. I wonder how some people, even after 10-15-20 years, are saddened by tinnitus... Don't they get used to it? This makes me lose all hope of ever feeling like I was before the tinnitus.. I would really appreciate your advice as you have a lot of experience with this. Thank you very much! Please reply me as soon as you have free time, because I am still in dark thoughts!!!
