It’s like a Shinto shrine that serves coffee as part of a ritual offering to others. In his face I saw no regrets and complete satisfaction during his reflection. Quite the man and shop you found.

It’s pretty wild and scary to watch a man in his 80’s reflect back on life..wondering if he did it well. It makes you pause (at a much younger age) and reevaluate things.

@@thebuccilist second time in Japan. Went to all the main tourist sites back in 2020. But this time, in 2023 I went all around Kyushu, Kumamoto, Kagoshima , Aria city, Miyazaki, Fukoaka, Nagazaki, Saga. Everywhere. I make videos too. So I know the long slog of editing 😭

What a beautiful story. It’s certainly more than coffee that he’s serving. He seems to know how to live. I’m curious to know about his family and community. Who are the people in his life?
@thebuccilist
@thebuccilist 2 ай бұрын
That’s such a great way of looking at it. And I totally agree. I’m not sure about his partner situation, but I know he was two grown children. One is a doctor, and I can’t remember what the other does. His energy and fulfillment leads me to believe he probably has a nice social community. He seems happy.
