This is a tip from Levi Morgan that not many people know about. We are hoping this tip can help you become a better archer. It only takes a few extra minutes before fletching but can make a big difference.

Hey, my name is Cole. I met you last year at an ASA Pro-am and you signed my shooter jersey. Later last year I met you at an IHOP with my team before an ASA Pro-am. You called one of my teammates and left her a voice message which was really cool. You probably don’t remember me but i wants to say that you are really cool and you are my role model. Thanks for the tips👍

So do you tune your arrows after you have tuned and sighted in your bow? I know when you paper tune your bow you should use the arrows that your gonna be shooting but if you just bought a brand new bow and are getting brand new arrows as well then you won’t be able to tune your bow until you have tuned your arrows so you can then use your tuned arrows to tune your bow? Hopefully that makes sense and somebody can clarify that for me.

I used to do this till I figured out why the arrows fly the way they do if you have clock wise twisted strings it'll alwats throw the arrow left if you have counterclock wise twisted strings it'll throw it right I made a video of testing 33 of the new bows with there stock clockwise Strings against my two rx1s with rogue and ABB strings twisted counter clockwise all bows shot left besides my 2 that shoot right so I shot 25 different arrows and same results test it out Levi you'll see.

Hey Levi, i got 1 question. How much, in centimeters, must i set the tiller on my Hoyt XT 2000 ? And yes, it's a older bow, i know. But notice that i only shooting indoor at 18 and 25 meters. My arrows are Easton Triumph 9.3 carbon for 25 meters, and Easton aluminium 2315 for 18 meters. My drawweight is appox. 28 inch. And the plastic vanes are Bohning 2". The bow was set on 52 #, but i had a accident and my wrist was broken in 2 parts. Now i start shooting again after 6 months, but i have to decrease him to 34 #.

we found the string twist dictates the bare shaft spin direction. ...more interesting a right twisted string makes a bare shaft turn left and visa-versa. So if you don't want to unscrew your arrow tips with Left wing fletching, flip your bowstring and twist it the opposite direction.
@alexbetts30366 жыл бұрын
So do people who do this shoot both left and right helical out of the same setup and have the arrows hitting the same left and right?
@johnmorgan20013 жыл бұрын
Levi: great video, as usual. Quick question...I did this test and found that my arrow rotates to the right a bit, why does it rotate at all? It's a bare shaft with a field point being fired into the target at less than 10 feet. The only dependent variable here is the string, but how does it affect the rotation of the arrow?
@Sephiroth15383 жыл бұрын
I believe it is mostly down to the twist direction in the string if the twist runs up or down. It goes right or left.
@JacobSchmittDeerHuntingSchool2 жыл бұрын
@@Sephiroth1538 yeah you’re right. I watched Levi talk about it in a different video that’s what he said.
@christopherwatson2833 жыл бұрын
? ?? Did You look into why the arrow barely/seriously rotated? Did you spin it around on the nock and check it from various nock positions? Did you spin it on a arrow straightener to see if the arrow is twisted/warped/crooked point/crooked insert. Did you check them all and fletch them the way you stated/accordingly and mix them in your Quiver? There is spin tension from the vanes on the arrow long before it leaves the string. I don't see it making any difference.

This process is about arrow clocking not quite knock tuning. Paige Pearce did a pretty in-depth video about this where she showed that it doesn't really matter if you Fletch a left or right helical that it makes no difference because the same bow can throw an arrow two different directions kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5O2qaSud9ZkrZo

So does that mean if it turns left you want to fletch it on the left side of the line you created?
@kfirbehar67206 жыл бұрын
DanMaJayYer no, you want to fletch it so the arrow rotates in the direction it would have even without the fletching.
@Danyang16 жыл бұрын
Kfir Behar I know the line is a point of reference for center but so if the arrow flies left, which side of that line do you want to fletch your arrow? I apologize, kind of new to archery
@dbuckner9020105 жыл бұрын
DanMaJayYer the line doesn’t represent anything but center it’s only a mark for him to see which way the arrow is naturally clocking off the string so if it is left then fletch your arrows with a left helical if your arrow clocks right then right helical

Discovered the arrow flying funky why doing a slo-mo video, saw the arrow stall and starting to spin the other direction. Talked with a number of archery so called pros, everyone said I was wrong. I refused to listen to them, there is no way there isn't an effect on an arrows flight path if it stalls mid air.

Rear weight in the arrow changes the dynamic spine. So when you bareshaft tune, wrap the back with the right amount of tape so your bareshaft weights the same as your fletched arrows and also flexes the same in flight.

How can you tell which way it’s spinning?
@the_sharp_carpenter2 жыл бұрын
You look at where the mark on the shaft rotated to. If it goes to 10 o'clock it's going left , if it's pointing to 2 o'clock it's going right.
@duanethompson23602 жыл бұрын
Lots of people know this, but what many don’t know is every arrow brand may be different. One arrow may go left and the next may go right. Paige has a good video on this. She shoots 2 arrows from the same bow, one goes left and the next goes right. I’m wondering if you should do this with every arrow and have mixed right and left fletches per dozen shafts!
@TNAgaming1508 ай бұрын
Wrong it all has to do with your bowstrings I’m which way the arrow comes out. You can literally have custom set to shoot the arrow right which many do. But nearly 99 percent of bows shot left out the box

@@jerryweatherman7468 you mark your arrow with a marker at the top of the arrow. Shoot it at very close range. Like 1-2 yards. Then walk up and see where the line is on the arrow. Itll usually be somewhere between 45-90 degrees from the top. If it's to the left than you need left helical. Right then youd need right
So I'm not crazy like inside out Precision made me out to be

This is absurd. First, let's take into account the target that it is going into. Are you telling me that the friction that causes the arrow to violently stop couldn't make an arrow rotate slightly? And I hope you have impeccable form because the slightest torque at launch might do the same thing. Second, let's consider that an arrow "might" have a natural spin direction. The amount of force (whatever it may be causing it) "naturally" turning that arrow compared to the amount of force placed on it by the helical fletching is VERY different. Probably like the difference between shooting a bullet and throwing it. The fletching will override that faint little bit of rotation IMMEDIATELY. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHvShYuIhrN3hqM Change your playback settings to as slow as it will go and watch this video at 55 seconds. Knuckle ball my butt. That arrow is turning within inches of leaving that string. Those fletching are already applying pressure to that arrow BEFORE it leaves the string. Do you honestly think the small amount of torque produced from the string (or whatever) is going to override the torque that will ultimately make that arrow spin almost 15 times in 20 yards? It's called over thinking. I used to have this same affliction. Now instead of splitting hairs, I just go shoot my bow.
@bradnelson84102 жыл бұрын
Watch your video again. Cool video but yet another “my product is the best” video. Notice him bragging about how the vane is still spinning while exiting the gel. He failed to notice the rotation switched to counter clockwise so no, it did not continue rotating through the gel. SMH

It all depends on the direction of your string twist
@RMC202110 ай бұрын
This is definitely good info until you change your string/cables and they are twisted the opposite way of the last set. At that point you have to re-fletch all your arrows.
