I think they just didn't care about it as kids. Ravs and Ped would have been pretty young for the original series while it was in live syndication, but it was on the air for a long time after. I'm close in age to Duncan and know character names. There were also follow-up series after the original. So yeah. You can still feel old, but they just weren't fans.
