So who else is thinking about selling their original Tonex and getting 2 of these now?
@HeyWorshipLeader5 ай бұрын
I know. I was wondering how many people would do this and it be the smartest option. I love this unit, but did TONEX shoot themselves in the foot with the larger pedals? Not sure yet
@rethinktone5 ай бұрын
Nah you have less access with going in between only two amps. The lack of screen is really annoying. If anything I'd just get one of these. THe resale value on yhe big one is garbage. You're lucky if you can get 250. The reason is because of what they did with the software. People are tok afraid of dealing with deregistering.
@rethinktone5 ай бұрын
Also, the big one you can run three different stomps at once, whereas with this one you can only have 1.
@Stratman51505 ай бұрын
Seems like an amazing product, especially if you are a set it and forget it type of player. Not a game changer but it's missing Presence and Depth. I've found that I do adjust Depth occasionally to make some tones a bit fatter.
@rianelliott15 ай бұрын
Wouldn’t sell my original, but am definitely gonna pick at least one of these up. Maybe a 2nd for the live board, then my big one becomes more of a studio tool.

SO COOL. Like you said, it’s a great time to be a guitar player. I wish we had these when I was learning! What’s biggest the main difference between the big ToneX and this, in your opinion?
@HeyWorshipLeader5 ай бұрын
I know. The difference that I see so far is the lack of midi, and ease of use only due to form factor, but the ONE is so valuable at the price point. I wonder if TONEX is fading out the bigger pedals? Will sales go down substantially? Do they care? Only time will tell

Put a little more effort and put both Tonex on the loop (it can be split) and set a split in your hx signal chain where you can flip the phase. You can then assign one amp left and the other on the right.

5:42 I love your videos thanks for sharing! Do you have chain / flow details for how this is going to/from the HX and dual One’s? I’m looking to free up some DSP (and hopefully blocks) in my HX stomp by putting these on the board. I also have a couple overdrive pedals before the HX stump, and then some additional reverb pedals in the loop. Any tips how to incorporate 2 stereo Ones?

The TONEX ONES are just at the end of the chain. These captures take wet effects really well just like traditional amps compared to other modelers

I did this video a while back: ToneX VS HX Stomp XL Dumble Shootout! kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJyllnWYlpiXo9U It really depends on the captures themselves. @@HeyWorshipLeader I think you have experienced this already in the video. That spanky response seems to be caused by the noise gate. But you seems to like it. It's much worse with high gain models. There are a lot of complaints about noises with these units. Check Thomman opinions of the bigger brother. But it can work well with hx stomp, which has great noise gate.
@dalescriven4 ай бұрын
I got one of these tonex ones the other day, and granted not had much time to play with it, I love the orange amp sounds but I was struggling with the noise gate. Glad it's not just me, pedal seems pretty noisy (humming etc) and the noise gate seems weird. I could not get it to work how I wanted it sounds horrible cutting into the guitar either too much or not at all. Fully happy to admit that it's probably my lack of fiddling with it so far but I've not had issues like this with the few other similar pedals and amps that I've had with these features. I would love to figure this out though as I've got a ton of uses for this pedal if I can sort out the hum and gates.
