Jimmy is totally himself, & that’s what everyone loves about him. I’m not a fan of his monologue on The Tonight Show cuz he doesn’t look natural. Totally different at home.

It'll be interesting when the shows come back. Jimmy will have a whole new fan base. Kimmel is killing it too, and he also will have a ton of new fans. Colbert, though his shows are good, they are not on the same level as the two Jimmys. Conan, on a tight budget, is keeping his fans happy. It will be interesting to see what the shows ratings are when things shake out and the shows are back to normal. Might be a big shake up in the ratings.

11matt11 I keep checking every week. Tonight Show usually always won in demo but lost big in viewers to Colbert. During quarantine Fallon’s viewers increases around 300K (from 1.9M to 2.2) and Colbert loses around 1 M (from 3.5 to 2.5). 1 M loss of Colbert splits in 2 for both Fallon and Kimmel. Not great news is Fallon Home Edition doesn’t gain bigger viewers and demo as I have expected. Only media buzz. His family becomes huge hit for tv critics. The Fallons were already interviewed by big magazines including photo shoots.

I never watched this show ever until I went into lock down and Jimmy Fallon went home. I love his family. His wife and kids are amazing and he is such a good dad and husband. What a great little show this has been. It is a shame he will have to go back to TV. I will miss him and and his family.

I think these at home episodes have dispelled the idea that Jimmy fake laughs his way through his studio shows. He is just naturally enthusiastic and ebullient. He and his wife talk with/over/around each other and laugh the whole time. This is what he is like on the studio show.

People like to compare him to Conan… Everybody just liked him. No matter what. Jimmy tries to appear likable through his words and actions, and all he gets is that he is a drunk, idiotic lunatic who can’t stop laughing all the time, which he is NOT. If Conan went the same route Fallon did, would he be this much disliked by the trolls? Fallon is an inspiration to the normal man, and teaches you how to have fun all the time. I respect him for that.

Most of the states here are starting to re-open exception for the two most populated-Victoria (where I am) and New South Wales. It sucks but it's a huge comfort to know we ain't alone in this.
