Thanks for leaving in the commercials ha, thats the best part. Back in the day, if you would have said, "One day youll like to watch these commercials.." I would have called you crazy.. lmao

You can see why Jay beat Dave in the ratings. Jay generally just had more energy and brought it every night. Dave by the later years was phoning it in and it wasn't as good. Dave was better as an outsider at 12:30, but 11:30 at CBS he had the big job and big budgets. Jay you could tell tried hard every night, maybe his humor wasn't your style but he at least gave it his best every time he was out there..

Dave just never seemed to be the same after that scandal with the intern. Think it was around 2006. Just seemed to lose his edge after that.

@@RonnieR29 I think the heart surgery was where it changed. He just didn't seem like he wanted to be there most nights. I think Jay beating him in the ratings ate away at him. And it did....because a lot of his fans had a lot of venom for Leno (pre-Conan) in how Dave was better and Leno would fail...but Leno winning the ratings bothered them all. Doesn't mean Jay was BETTER because it's subjective....but Jay was better in the area is mattered in TV.

Is it sad that we watch these to feel like we are back in normal times again?
