Some good explanation there to clarify your tool range and being caught out with battery availablity for unknown brands👍 I went with Dewalt for cordless impact gun and small drill, very impressed with both especially the bolt cracking capabilities of the impact gun. Battery stuff is ok for short duration use but other than those I'm old school , everything else is mains voltage. Still regularly use a Bosch hammer drill i got with Green Shield stamps in 1989, ID badge states 'MADE IN WEST GERMANY' and all its ever needed is a set of brushes 10 years ago. The days of tools lasting a life time have sadly long gone 😢

Anything made in West Germany will last forever with care!! Still got a reversible screwdriver from WG that's seen some use and abuse bit it refuses to blunt. Dewalt is a cracking piece of kit and the bolt cracking capabilities are very close to my Milwaukee Gun at less the cost :) I thought you were going to say air tools... as portable as cordless tools are, unless a replacement for lithium is found DIY car enthusiasts may be forced (by cost) to go back to corded mains or (my choice) air! I'd have all my tools running off air if possible in the future!

@@usuallyfixingtinkering Got some used air tools with the 2nd hand compressor I acquired some years ago , but never got the hang of them really. Clumbersome, heavy, not as manoeuvrable with the airline feed and nowhere near as controllable on speeds as electric. Compressor is a big old thing , huge air tank so excellent for spraying but apart from the Schultz gun and the spray guns , gave up on everything else. Wouldn't mind trying a small diameter air polisher tool though for detailed bits of bodywork

There is a few draw-backs on air, but it may make a come-back one day in maybe more sophistaicated forms of equipment you can control :)

I chose my Milwaukee kit on the expandability, choice of its range and battery consistency. It’s tough stuff but expensive though so the Millwonkie Chinese clones may start working there way in 😂. Good review and sound advice on this video.

Cheers buddy all very valid reasons for grabbing one like I did. Its saved me £££ more than I paid for it and that's ultimate what a good tool should achieve!

If they're good enough for you, they'll be good enough for. I'm a terrible tool tart when it comes to spanners etc notnso kich with power tools as they get used so little .

I love Draper tools but the new D20 kit it is crap as you can't use in colder weather, I have had nothing but trouble getting to work as intended and as for Draper sorting it out don't waste your time or money.😡

how do you mean can't use in colder weather - do the batteries deplete quickly?

@@usuallyfixingtinkering no but don't use full power to the point some tools won't work properly. One of the worst is the Nailer/Stapler, bought new one last month and only fires ever other shot if battery is a wee bit cold, it's not worth buy that brand. I have bought Erbauer 18v and these tools are by far better tools.

@@dmac830 I wouldn't buy any of them for heavy use I.e. trade like a nail gun be a use of this reason. I think semi-professional use is best
