Great vid buddy, tools and a man cave whats not to like lol. Little tip for ya buddy when you cut ya worktops use masking tape along the cut lines it stops any surface break out (them tiny little surface chips on the cut line). Them tools will pay for themselves, by just having the right tool for every job. Best wishes to you both and stay safe and well.

Keep up with the videos Jeff your a natural. Nice kit for the price without paying a fortune. I never use extractable Stanley knifes as they always go missing on site😐. The DeWalt 54v mitre saw and rail saw has been a game changer for me but definitely overkill to be sitting in a garage most days.

Thankyou so much. Very kind.ohh I hate tools going missing. The DeWalt stuff is epic but is a massive investment and I really wanted to see if a value kit could do the job for other van builders who literally just need a toolset to build the van. 😀

Nice video mate and thanks for the shout out 😁👍 I think you've got a bargain there for sub £500 looking forward to seeing how they preform. I've always been bosch or makita but been surprised by ryobi so interesting to see the draper. 👍

Jeff great vid as usual, like most trades or engineers I’m a tool snob born from the days when there was a lot of crap on the market. Truth is you summed it up perfectly with the question will they do the job I need them for. Simple answer is yes and for a van build perfectly adequate.

Yeah I am the same way with tools for work but if they survive the duration of the van build I will be happy they have represented value. Thanks again for your encouragement. Truly appreciated!

Great vid Jeffrey, I would recommend you buy the Bosch hole saws, they are amazing and go thru the metal like butter or a vegan alternative 🤣 don’t bother with those cheaper ones, pathetic in comparison x
@AlwaysVanAdventure
@AlwaysVanAdventure 4 жыл бұрын
Actually this is really greatly received. Too many hole saws are intended for "electricians" use for downlights etc. and stand no chance of cutting through metal so I will add these to me shopping list, thankyou x

I don't have my tools with me atm, but kinda remember that the circular saw has an excess tilting beyond 0. Can't remember what for, but there is a reason for that. But don't trust my words, sometimes I mix information in my brain.

Great video Jeff! After nearly 4 years, how are the 20V draper range holding up? I have the combi drill already, thinking of investing in the impact driver, SDS drill & reciprocating saw as they are on sale in a local hardware store

Free tools are the best tools. To be honest so many people do a "how much it cost" video at the end of Thier build and they hardly ever include tools which they might only ever have use for on the build. Thanks for the kind words too 😊

Here's a question for you both, and you might have already thought this far ahead but, never mind buying tools, at what point do you start the pare down process ready for tiny house living? Or have I just ruined a future video? 😂
@AlwaysVanAdventure
@AlwaysVanAdventure 4 жыл бұрын
No not at all you haven't ruined anything if anything you have just inspired a video. Of what stats and what goes. !.

@@patrickmcguigan5939 I guess to be honest it started a year ago. When I wanted a new PC I bought a powerful laptop that would do everything I wanted a desktop to buy. I found the aeropress to do coffee in instead of my big old coffee machine. When my food blender died I bought a low power hand whisk which takes up very little space and not much water to earn and that's been our mindset on anything we buy new. As for old stuff ha ha 😂. Yeah that's going to be interesting.

@@AlwaysVanAdventure also, what do you think of your aeropress? I picked up a Hario V60 pour over dripper a while ago and it's the shit! Makes a great cup of coffee without too much fuss.
