The Supervisor's Companion is written for the up and coming manager -- people new to or lightly trained in how to manage work teams. It is a down to earth book with illustrative, true stories and a bit of humor. The topics are easily arranged for quick reference. The emphasis of this book is how to help employees succeed - after all if the staff succeeds everyone succeeds. Give it a try.

@@RickKettner so that book is not advisable for early startup founders. As per your recommendation list I started reading lean startup, hooked up, contagious. Now I have started reading the innovators dilemma, but I found that book is written more towards fortune 500, but it also written about how the disruptive technologies changes the whole businesses. So my question is it advisable to read that book in the early stage for startup founders?

@@sujeeshnair8184 - The Innovator's Dilemma is solid for startups OR established businesses depending on what you want to achieve. But, if your primary concern is about handling uncertainty, I would start with The Lean Startup and The Startup J-Curve instead.
