Iron Man blew me away. I'm a big comic fan, but i'd never expected this. Edit: Wall-E is amazing. And as a wrestling fan, The Wrestler is an amazing film.

Burn After Reading is a one of my favorite comedies just because how pointless the events of the film are. 😂😂 The Wrestler was an excellent film for some of us who’s life has almost past us by…no more hiking to the top Mt Fuji for me! 😉😆 The Dark Knight is one of my favorite movies because Heath Ledger was perfect as the Joker. There are some flaws, but it was such an intellectual study about human behavior. But you gave me so many films I now want to see. Especially Waltz in Bashir. Cheers

Wow! Is that Hakone? Memories of Mount Fuji from 2015! And Kamakura! Stayed there for 3 days. Interesting choices - some of them a bit film bro for me but Waltz with Bashir and The Wrestler were further down my list. My top 10 of 2008 10. Wendy and Lucy 9. *WALL-E* 8. Ponyo 7. Frost/Nixon 6. Happy Go Lucky 5. The Baader Meinhoff Complex 4. The Class 3. *The Dark Knight* 2. Rachel Getting Married NUMBER ONE: SYNECDOCHE NEW YORK And The Hurt Locker won the Best Picture Oscar in 2009 - I included it on the 2009 list. Looking forward to the next one.

Great choice for number one, not enough people have seen that. My favorite of this year is a super unpopular one, John Patrick Shanley’s “Doubt,” but its got a great performance from Philip Seymour Hoffman. I’m kind of surprised “Synecdoche, New York” did not make your list. Personally, that movie did not do it for me, but most people seemed to love it.

Iron Man… what an experience watching that film when I was 12 . I miss the time when the MCU movies have a great balance Between being serious when it has to be serious and funny when it’s funny. Better film than the disappointing Indiana Jones and the kingdom of the Crystal skull. Plus Let The Right One in is the best version of Twilight xD. Also you forgot to mention the brilliant one Hit Wonder Action film starring Liam Neeson “Taken”

Funny how this was the year that made them decide the Oscars ought to have 10 best picture nominees from then on. I like a few movies from that year, but I struggle to think of 5 that I really loved, let alone 10. The Dark Knight, Tropic Thunder, Benjamin Button, Gran Torino and Adventureland are about the only ones I'd go back and watch today. Hurt Locker doesn't count, sorry. 2007, on the other hand, was a great year, but I don't think you did that one.
