It’s a whole lot of money, but consider the finest fabrics money can buy, hand made lace is outrageously expensive. Then go to the seamstresses they had to pay to make the dress, the pattern makers who have to create a pattern for the designers vision, then fitting the gown perfectly to the bride’s figure. And the designer himself or herself who are there every step of the way making sure their design is executed to perfection. But even with all that, it’s still a whole lot of money, and of course these are only for those that can pay for it.

The seamstresses, the fabric ordered from factories, the people who ordered the fabric, the designers, the people who order the sketchbooks for the designers, the people who order thread, needles, and do so many other things we have no idea about behind the scenes. It doesn't just go to people who don't deserve it. It goes to people who do deserve it who work for these companies that charge these prices. MM dress did not fit her, and the fabric was too thick, no softness to it, but it did have clean lines. Princess Diana's dress was of the time, would have like a more modern sophisticated dress for her with clean lines. Serena's dress way to low cut no class. I like the POW Catharine's dress class sophistication followed the rules of royalty for modesty. The softness of the lace, intricacies of embroidery, total class. Hair not so great.

I was in Germany at the time of Princess Dianna's wedding and I saw a couple of pictures of her in a couple of different gowns that were much more elegant and stunning on her. I kept one of the pictures of a gown that had a more modern look with a ballgown made with fabric that looked to be a silk with an overlay that had some gorgeous beadwork and lace on the bodice. I wish I knew where it was so I could describe it better.
