That Pure Nail + Snake Fang is really OP. It just took me through 2BC and got me to Hand of the king on 3BC in my ever first run.I only lost because I assumed 3BC would be so challenging that I played recklessly, just explored everything, taking the longest route to familiarize myself with the new difficulty. Had I just gone the shortest route to the final stage, I'd have finished it... You sir, are a hero. Bless

Legendary Flint may be one of the most broken weapons in the game. It's just too op and can finish the game with it alone against every single boss

I feel like most legendaries are really good and that's the point. It's cool to find a really op one that also synergizes well with your build. But yeah, people playing on custom with minimal items can just pick the few op weapons and play with that. I would get incredibly bored doing that. I found a "set enemies on fire" + 100% extra damage vampire killer the other day and it was ridiculous. It helped me get flawless Dracula lmao.

It doesn't need anything to support it and because of that, contrary to most legendary weapons which affixes supports the main concept of the weapon and still need other items to be really busted

For panchaku, you can switch out open wounds for predator for extra safety. Plus, predator plus combo is a no brainer

You can also use Phaser with Scheme and Face Flask + Spite sword. But it tends to make the game a bit too easy.

After watching this video a week or so ago I've managed to clear 2 and 3 BC with your Panchaku build. I typically run mine with Laser Glaive to make biomes a bit easier and then sinew slicer and cleaver. My 3 BC clear ended up with a great poison/bleed synergy combo between the Pan/Cleaver/Sinew. Now to max out the forge at 3 BC and try a few new routes.

I love your way of explaining things. I too try to reduce "mental stack" when playing. 1 button gameplay enjoyers unite! I actually used Pure Nail a lot when I started playing, which funny enough was just after finishing Hollow Knight, so I had the pogo stick gameplay in my brain already. It helps you avoid a ton of mechanics by just pogoing on top of mobs and bosses, I almost flawless Death when I was still clueless about the game. It seems like a very good weapon that is more than justified to have such low damage. Sometimes you can do an upward swing and crit on mobs who are on the same level as you, for some reason.

Assault Shield + Panchaku + Melee allows you to superdash into enemies, making them face you while starting the slow, blast through their health while freezing, and get out of tight situations FAST

some people still does not know how the damemage cap work on the new combo, basically , when it show 1,01 mean: Value X(ur normal damage) times 1%, the “1%” can change however , it’s not the true calulation but with every single brutal scroll u got, the damage cap is increase by +0,1%.So let’s say u got 5 scroll in brutal, now wt every hit u get 1%(base value) + 0,1% x 5 = 1,5% damage buff

Brutality Ice Shard + Snake Fangs(Slow/Bleed Modifiers) (Dual Binding might be gone but... just Pressing both buttons at the same time does the same thing.. never quite understood the point of removing Dual binding for that reason, It's hardly an inconvenience unless you a Gnome with really tiny fingers and play controller) Parry Shield/Front Line Shield(Armadillopack) Tonic + Catalyst Combo + Open Wounds + Armadillopack Been using this build for quite a while now and it got me the furthest but most importantly it's just really fun! everything off-color is there for Utility, just putting my thumb between square and triangle and pressing both it's the same as dual binding pretty much. Tonic is there because I tend to forget to use my skills so I just went with something thats useful but I don't have to keep paying attention to lol so can be replaced with anything really.

By far my favorite build I used was Rapier Frost blast Card (that thing with 4 powers) Phaser Recovery, predator/bleeding wounds, and dissengagement Try to stack as much bleed/poison affinity together through your weapon and phaser I was literally doing 6 digit damage numbers in a single hit

Melee is fun to mix with Frostbite, which applies damage depending on the stacks of of slow an enemy has

I'll probably sound like "i like vanilla ice cream" but i honestly like the nutcracker and boy's axe build, the speed attack is nuts for a survivor build, and for mutations you got a bunch, you can get heart of ice for cooldown reduction, the rhythm one, i forgot the name for even more attack speed, you can wish the axe to get 2 and absolutely destroy everything, and if you're feeling spicy you can pair with ripper too, it's super fun I say this in a brutality build video bc honestly with the attack speed it genuinely feels like a brutality build

Dat's a lot of DAMAGE! And a lot of funny builds. I don't know if its better or worse, but for the first build, the Morning Star (from Castlevania DLC) is like Panchaku: a walking stacking machine. It can stack Melee, Open Wound, Poison very quickly and has a pretty easy crit condition to use, and you can get one at the start of your run if you want by entering the Konami Code in-game (which is always a pleasure). Gonna try Panchaku next anyway, seems way too fun to ignore it. Next in line will be the Pure Nail + Snake Fang, didn't knew it got along so well

Yeah it seems quite hard to hold both buttons and do nice dodges when you need. You gotta be quick, I guess. I'm like Vee, tho, I prefer gigabraindead 1 button gameplay. I even avoid having to use shields and usually just have something like a boomerang or cross in my second slot for faster clearing and just use armadillo + shield on backpack.

Can’t you just, like, change your bindings around? If you put both attack button on R1 and L1, it should be easier to hold both of those buttons down indefinitely, while leaving your thumbs free to dodge/jump. Obviously, this will mean it will be a learning curve to adapt to, so, yeah, not the best solution.

Remember that in order for this Nail build to work, the nail must be on the first weapon slot (square for Playstation or X for Xbox). And the Fang must be on the second weapon slot.

I've been a fan of Sadist's Stiletto and Open Wounds for a long time, but , and I know you said no colourless, but if you can also get the Deck and set it to Catalyst, it's crit central. Mind you, I'm not good enough that I've survived 2BC to completion recently even though I have unlocked 3BC from some time ago but I'm working on it :)

Used the Stiletto for quite a while! you might like this build~ used this build with stiletto and Phaser before switching over to Snake Fangs when they got put into the game as without cooldown from phaser the gameplay with the build was smoother while still having the same idea as stiletto+Phaser. build still works with Stiletto and Phaser though. Beat 4BC with it after being stuck for ages on 2BC. Brutality Ice Shard + Snake Fangs(Slow/Bleed Modifiers)(Stiletto over Snake fangs still works) (use both attack buttons at the same time I'm on PS and just put my thumb between square/Triangle to press both) Parry Shield/Front Line Shield(for Armadillo Pack) Catalyst + w.e you like I use Tonic for it's effect(if you really don't like Snake Fangs and wanna use Stiletto I'd say ''Phaser'') Combo + Open Wounds + Armadillopack

Just yesterday I made a snake fangs build that killed the hand of the king on 3bsc in less than 10 seconds (granted I was using some cheats like all legendaries) but I don't see why it wouldn't do good in a normal playthrough I used snake fangs, bloodthirsty shield, holy water, and knife dance The goal is to build up as many effects as possible (poison, bleed, and fire) and they all work together and melt any boss extremely fast, though it is weaker against normal enemies since the effects don't have time to build This build was so powerful the after being stuck on +2bsc for over 350 hours I beat it's AND +3bsc in the same day! ive tried a colorless run with pure nail+fangs on surivival with combo,kill rhythm mutation it attacks so fast and stacks so much poison that the poison does most of the dmg on bosses

In panchaku build what about molotov or throwing knife in offhand, with off color acrobatipack in backpack and hakutos in backpack? Using panchaku and molotov or throwing knife with hold to attack, and bleed passive or something to trigger hakutos with the offhand weapon and panchaku to blow up the hakuto damage from burns and bleeds and stuff ??

I'm still working my way to completing the game in all natural way (no custom mode, no assist, no aspects etc). Currently on 3bc and struggling a bit though

There is a little bit of luck involved, but if you have the shop upgrades to be able to pick color and reroll the shop items you end up getting a lot of chances to get the items you need. Usually when I play I see what I get earlygame and then trying to look for good synergy isn’t too hard.

You find face flask and take the Midas' Blood mutation so when you take damage you receive gold which enables the crits. I don't know which version is on the mobile but that's how it works

Game needs a huge mutation update. Most of the mutations are completely useless, and we are all probably using the same 7-10 mutations like grand total. I really hope they find this out, the game gets kinda boring when you figure out mutations dont mean much cause ur picking the same ones every time and it doesnt change for any reason

And besides, I main cursed sword and had like 50+ no hit runs with it spanning from an hour or so to more or less 30 mins. And I use it to quickly kill bosses for their flawless outfits cuz I couldn't be bothered memorising EVERY attack pattern. That's why I asked where it was.
