You left out in your coverage two major systems out that are much less expensive. The Tongsheng tsd72 and the Bafang. Both are mid-drives, and considerably less costly than the Bosch. Why?

We showed the top 3 options at LBC, not out of all electric motors. There certainly are other options out there, but these are the ones we keep on hand and love!

Can LBC retrofit a Bosch system on an ICE T (circa 2009)? Can it be paired with a derailleur-less rear like a Shimano Alfine, Rohloff Speedhub, or Enviolo Automatiq?

There's currently no retro fit for a mid-drive on an ICE. You can add on a internal hub though. Power assist hub drives are popular for add ons on ICE trikes, see an example bit.ly/43YOIAv

​@@LaidBackCycles, since posting my question, I've discovered at least two examples online at bentrideronline of ICE owners (a T and an Adventure) who have long-term installs of a Bafang and Tongsheng mid-drive, so I have no idea why you would make such a statement.

I have a dumont with bosch ecat I love it. Laid back cycles good service. James is the best.

Yes! You can get a Dumont eCAT which comes with a motor, or you can retrofit your old Dumont to have one added by a Bosch certified shop, like us!
