I have been looking at the DAC chips in the : * Alpine ilx-509 * Kenwood dmx-958 XR * Sony xav-9000 ES Sony seems to have the better sabre es series DAC chip. My questions are , and maybe an ideal for a vid for you : • which unit has the better DAC & DSP chips (If not using an external DSP ? • is the quality of a DAC Chip on the headunit important if using an external DSP with its own DAC chips ? • for streaming from Andriod or Apple phones through Mobile Data, at which point do the audio resolutions of the headunit exceed what is being sent from the Androids and Apple phones ? • is it viable to buy the top model kenwood or sony based on their headunits ability for 24bit / 192kHz if using an external DSP. • If using and external DSP, which models have the better DAC chips and DSP chips for processing audio files • or, is it a situation when using external DSP, to simply but a headunit for its other specifics such as screen resolution, processor power and wifi capabilities Great channel btw

I will say I'm not sure exactly what it is yet but I just picked up the JVC KW-M785BW and it's a great sounding receiver, but it's only been about a week and through wireless android auto it's starting to break up and be glitchy.. I need to spend more time with it and troubleshoot a bit to see what that could be, still haven't given my mids and highs amp a retune since the swap. I think it's a fine headunit but I'll probably be swapping again in the future for a headunit with even more features and a more stable wireless connection.

Jvc brings back good memories, anybody remember the kamaleon with the smooth screen that came down ? I had that in my 1997 Mitsubishi eclipse paired with two 15" in the trunk 😂 Thank you for the comparison

JVC did a good job in that departement. With circular moves on the sreen with your fingers, it will go up and down on the volume.
