A through pass would have the danger of being too much forward, either making a more easy interception for the opponents defender or goalkeeper. If you're able to play a pass to your striker in that position, you don't need to get any closer to the goal, so a ground pass is good enough. - TaZz

Basically seeing slow motion defender getting to the ball to clear it and the attacker who is far from the ball does this stupid nor realistic animation that somehow canceled the defender clearing the ball command Conclusion - if you want to get better at this game play 8 h daily in order to learn all the buggy shitty animations
